Health
a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being - not merely the
absence of diseases or infirmity

Fitness
refers to the ability to carry out daily activities with vigor and alertness,
without undue fatigue, and with ample energy to enjoy leisure-time
pursuits.

Components of Health

Physical Health - the ability to perform bodily functions effectively,


including regular exercise, a balanced diet, and sufficient rest.

Mental Health - the ability to think clearly, make decisions, and manage
stress and mental disorders.

Social Health - the ability to form satisfying interpersonal relationships


and maintain social connections.

Emotional Health - being aware of and able to nanage emotions like anger,
fear, sadness, and joy.

Spiritual Health - having a sense of purpose, inner peace, and harmony, which
may be supported by religious beliefs or personal beliefs.

Environmental Health - living in a clean, safe environment that promotes well-


being (e.g., clean air, water, and safe housing).

Components of Lifestyle
Balanced Diet - consuming a variety of nutrious foods in appropriate portions
to support overall body function.

Regular Physical Activity - engaging in consistent exercise such as walking,


jogging, or sports to maintain fitness and health.

Adequate Sleep - ensuring 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night to restore
energy and promote mental clarity.
Stress Management - using techniques like meditation, time management,
and relaxation to handle stress effectively.

Avoiding Harmful Habits - refraining from smoking, excessive alcohol use,


drug abuse, and other risky behaviours
