MASS SCRIPT.

Saturday, March 30, 2024

WELCOME:

Holy Saturday is the day of great silence: Jesus, dead on the cross, has been placed
in the tomb.
With its arcane and moving silence, this prayer vigil prepares the Church for the
Easter Vigil, mother of all vigils.
The celebration tonight is the highest expression of Christian liturgy. It begins
outside the temple with the rite called 'Lucernario', in which the
new fire, from whose embers the Paschal Candle will be lit - Light of Christ - that
effectively means the same risen Christ, Light of souls and nations,
who governs time and eternity, since he is the beginning and the end and whose light us
communicates to each of us to be converted all into the Light of Christ
resurrected.
This night, as our faith affirms, all of us who are Church
pilgrim, we will join the purgative Church and the triumphant Church and all the
cosmos, to elevate our joyful praise in union with the angelic choirs:
celebrating this Paschal Liturgy, we taste the Heavenly.
We are preparing to participate, outside the temple and in deep silence, so that
we can live each part of the liturgy of this celebration; for the
we invite everyone to exit orderly to the atrium and start there, this
Solemn Vigil.
