THE AUTUMN LEAVES

Once upon a time there were three little leaves and a bell.

When the wind blew, the little leaves danced as the bell rang.

And ringing, ringing the autumn was announcing.

They danced more and more until one day they flew away from the tree!

And flying, flying they saw many wonders

the entire field covered with dry and yellow leaves.

And while they were flying, they wondered what the reason for their change of color was.

And so they asked the wind and it could not answer, and when the rain came
they asked again.

They asked many things, they kept asking without stopping.

The Squirrel Pepita
Once upon a time there was a squirrel named Pepita. One day she was taking a walk through the
forest with his best friend the owl Perico, and they saw a walnut tree loaded with
nuts. Pepa's eyes lit up, so she went up to the
tree, grabbed a nut and bit it.

THE TWO SQUIRRELS

In a distant forest filled with trees lived two squirrels that were very
friends, the red squirrel and the gray squirrel. The red squirrel was very hardworking.
When autumn arrived, the day was spent gathering nuts to fill
his pantry. The gray squirrel, however, was very lazy.

While her friend was working picking nuts, she spent the day
lying in the field, enjoying the scenery, very happy to do nothing.

When at the end of autumn the red squirrel filled its pantry with fruits.
dry, she prepared to lock herself in her house, ready to spend the winter
tranquilly.

And the winds and winter cold arrived. It was impossible to be in the forest.
All the little animals were hiding in their houses and eating the nuts that
they had gathered in the autumn.

They were disastrous days for the gray squirrel, the lazy squirrel, who for not being
the worker had an empty pantry.

One night the forest was filled with snow, the little animals could not find
food outside their home. Now they would each have to feed themselves with what
they would have collected in the autumn.

Poor gray squirrel! She had been so lazy! Now she had nothing in her
pantry and was almost starving

One day the red squirrel saw her coming half dead from hunger and cold, and crying.

- Little red squirrel, my friend. Help me! I can't take it anymore, I am dying of
hunger. Give me something to eat.

The red squirrel was very kind and let her into her house.

Come in, poor thing. Here you will find food and warmth throughout the winter.
What I stored in the autumn, we will eat between the two of us.

What a good person you are, dear companion! - said the gray squirrel excitedly.

But since the food was meant for one squirrel only, and not for two,
There came a moment when it was over, and days of scarcity and hunger came.

But when the weather started to get nice, they went out to work.

Let's get to work! Both the little red squirrel, who had always been a hard worker, and the
little gray squirrel that had never worked.

And the little red squirrel had been so kind that it moved the little squirrel.
gray, and she promised him that she would never be lazy again.
His wise friend began to laugh

My friend,

He listened to her and together they had a feast of nuts.

And since then, the squirrels spend the autumn gathering nuts to
to eat them with friends when winter arrives.
