THE IDENTITY OF THE YOUNG CHRISTIAN

Biblical basis:
Eclesiastés 11:9-10

- Adolescence and youth come from the word 'shajar' = dawn, both are the dawn of life.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear 'identity'?
Personally, I come up with this (showing my identity card). How many of us have one?
identity card? I definitely think that the majority because today they force us to carry it. This document
allows us to learn more about a person: name, address, phone, occupation. With this information

Identity: It is the set of circumstances, qualities, or characteristics that determine who and what is a
persona. (In other words, it is one's own attitude) Someone might wonder: Why study this
theme? Is there no other? Of course there is. There are many themes especially for the youth and within
of all this, there is one that I consider important for the following reason:

In these times, the true identity of many young people has degenerated, declined, or deteriorated due to
from the evil that is lived daily in the world, driven by Satan. (Men behaving like
women and women like men discarding the plan that God had for their lives and in this way
they achieve that the enemy wins a battle but not the war.

I. THE YOUNG PERSON MUST IDENTIFY THEMSELVES

This has to do with self-esteem. Self-esteem is the value that one gives to oneself and can be divided into three.
levels: low, medium, and high, and each one has its manifestations.

Elements that form our self-esteem.

1. Self-knowledge: it is the ability to know ourselves (our skills, needs and
limitations) because when I know myself, I know how I can serve God.
2. The self-concept: this is the belief one has about oneself, whether real or unfounded, and according to
What one believes, one acts. Because if I believe I am a fool, I will act like a fool; if I believe I am useless.

3. Self-acceptance: it consists of accepting oneself as one is. (sex, color, origin, appearance, etc.)
4. Self-respect: consists of respecting oneself.

The foundation of our self-esteem.

Our self-esteem is based, or rather founded, on three fundamental principles that identify us.

II. THE YOUNG PERSON MUST IDENTIFY AS A PERSON

This implies having human relationships. Sometimes young Christians think that living in a bubble

Well, definitely NO, Jesus would not do that. Young man and young lady, remember that He left us the best example of
identity that could have been.

III. THE YOUNG PERSON MUST IDENTIFY AS A CHRISTIAN (Romans 1:16)

- The best examples of young people with an identity in God are in the Bible, think first of the 3 friends of
Daniel, three Hebrews in the land of Babylon, did not defile themselves with the king's food, nor did they fall down to worship.

And a very brave young man was José. In this world, we are surrounded by temptations. Today, young people are
being victims of Satan, they have been caught falling into his traps. We must learn from Joseph, the son of
Jacob, who identified himself as the son of God in the temptation that the devil placed upon him through the woman of
Potiphar (Gen. 39:7); he was unjustly taken to prison, however, there he also proved his identity.

In the Bible, there is a name that had to change its identity just like many of us!!!!!!!
- Jacob usurped his identity... he stole his brother's identity, the Bible says that one day after his sin the
he stayed alone!!!!! AND THE QUESTION IS WHO ARE WE WHEN WE ARE ALONE???????? Who are you
when you do something that no one knows, when you browse the internet on questionable websites, or when
you watch programs or when you look with lust at what you shouldn’t look at… AND WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT
WE ARE UNTIL WE ARE LEFT ALONE!!!!!!
- When one has a wound... God heals it but to do so, many times it makes you hurt, but why does He

LIBERATION OF A CAPTIVE

to free ourselves from that cord, we must pray that only He helps us to be able to free ourselves from that false identity that
ties us to this world.

ON THE ROCK

YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO FIGHT YOUR BATTLE WITH HIM, BY HIS SIDE.
Ask yourself, Who am I? Well, I am a child of God.
Where am I going? To the heavenly homeland that Christ is preparing for me.

- HOW MANY WANT TO MEET GOD AND FIGHT WITH HIM... AND LET GOD CHANGE YOU
OF IDENTITY... AND YOU ARE A DIFFERENT PERSON IN THE NAME OF GOD... HE KNOWS
OUR LIFE AND KNOWS WHAT WE NEED!!!!!!
