The difference between flotels, traditional hotels,
and cruise ships:
Flotels
Flotel is essentially a floating
hotel. Its structure combines
the features of a hotel with
that of a floating platform.
This type of lodging is usually
found in lakes, rivers, and on
islands. Flotels create a
unique experience by
allowing guests to stay on
the water without the need
to move, and they typically
offer amenities similar to those of
hotels, including dining and entertainment facilities.
Traditional Hotels
Traditional hotels are lodging
establishment that offers
accommodation, meals,
various services and
amenities such as
restaurants, pools, gyms,
and room that focuses on
convenience and comfort.
They are generally found in
urban settings, popular
tourist spots, or close to
business hubs, which allows
traditional hotels to cater to a diverse
range of guests.
Cruise Ship
Cruise ships are huge ships intended
for travel and vacations, delivering an
all-inclusive resort life at sea. They
have numerous activities, restaurants,
and entertainment, which make them
similar to floating resorts. Compared to
flotels and hotels, cruise ships are in transit, which means that the visitors get to
travel to several locations on their trip.
