Describe a museum

I would like to talk about the National Museum of Bangladesh, which is one of the most famous museums in my
country.

How often do you visit the museum?

To be honest, I don’t go to museums very often, maybe once every year or two. But whenever I do visit, I always
find it very interesting because it helps me learn about history and culture in a deeper way.

Describe the museum

The National Museum is located in Dhaka, and it’s a very large building with several floors. Each floor is divided
into different galleries. It has a wide range of collections, including ancient coins, sculptures, traditional clothing,
paintings, and historical artifacts. One of the most special sections is dedicated to the Liberation War of 1971,
which displays photographs, weapons, and personal belongings of freedom fighters. There is also a natural history
section where you can see preserved animals and rare stones.

When did you last visit the museum?

The last time I visited the museum was about a year ago when one of my friends came to Dhaka. Since he was very
interested in culture and history, I thought the museum would be the perfect place to take him.

How was your experience?

My experience was truly memorable. I especially enjoyed the Liberation War gallery, which made me feel proud of
the sacrifices of our people. The artworks and traditional items also impressed me a lot, as they showed the richness
of our culture. Overall, it was an educational and emotional experience, and I left the museum with a deeper respect
for my country’s heritage.

Q4: Do you think people in your country are interested in museums?

A5: Traditional museums usually focused on displaying objects with simple labels. Modern museums, on
the other hand, use technology such as touch screens, 3D models, and guided tours to make learning

What is the place?

One important historic place I would like to talk about is the Lalbagh Fort, which is a famous Mughal-era fortress.

It is located in the old part of Dhaka city, the capital of Bangladesh. The fort was started in the 17th century by
Prince Muhammad Azam, who was the son of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Although the construction was never

Why do you think it is important?
I think Lalbagh Fort is important for several reasons. Firstly, it represents the rich Mughal architecture with its

history and enjoy its beauty. Finally, it is also a symbol of cultural pride for the people of Bangladesh, as it connects
us to our heritage.

more space, less responsibility for cleaning, and often a professional service, but it can be more expensive.
2. What would you do if you were disturbed by a neighbor's party?
If I were disturbed by a neighbor's party, I would politely ask them to lower the noise. If that didn’t help, I might
consider using earplugs or calling the authorities if it was too late and affecting my rest. I would try to handle it
calmly, as maintaining good relations with neighbors is important.
3. Do you think music and dancing are a must at a party?
Music and dancing add a lot of energy to parties, making them more fun and lively. While they are not a must, they
do help people relax and enjoy themselves. Some people might prefer quieter gatherings with conversation instead,
depending on the type of party.
4. Do you think those who tend to stay at home are less healthy than those who often attend parties?
Staying at home doesn't necessarily make a person less healthy, as it depends on their lifestyle. However, socializing
at parties can be good for mental well-being. On the other hand, too much partying might lead to unhealthy habits,
like lack of sleep or excessive drinking.

• Who teaches it?

• How is it taught?
• What did you learn from the class?
• How was your experience?

Describe a subject taught in your school

One subject that I remember clearly from my school days is English.

Who teaches it?

It was taught by our English teacher, Mrs. Rahman. She was very experienced and passionate about teaching. She
always encouraged us to express ourselves in English, even if we made mistakes.

How is it taught?
She used different methods to make the class interesting. Instead of only focusing on grammar, she made us do
group discussions, role-plays, storytelling, and reading practice. Sometimes she also showed us short English
movies or asked us to read newspapers to improve our vocabulary.

What did you learn from the class?

From her classes, I learned not only grammar and writing skills but also how to speak fluently and confidently in
English. I also developed my ability to think critically and express my opinions more clearly. Most importantly, I
gained the confidence to use English in real-life situations.

How was your experience?

My experience of learning English in her class was very positive and enjoyable. She was friendly and supportive, so
I never felt nervous about speaking. Looking back, I believe her teaching style played a big role in helping me
improve my communication skills, which are very useful for both my studies and future career.
Follow-up Questions and Answers

Q1: What subjects are most important in school?

A1: I think core subjects like Mathematics, Science, and English are the most important because they build a
strong foundation for higher studies and future careers. At the same time, subjects like History and Arts are also
important as they help students become more well-rounded and creative.

Q2: Do you think students should have the freedom to choose the subjects they study?
A2: Yes, to some extent. Younger students should study all the basic subjects to get general knowledge. But when
they reach higher grades, they should have the freedom to choose subjects based on their interests and career goals.
This would keep them more motivated and reduce unnecessary pressure.

Q3: How has teaching changed compared to the past?

A3: In the past, teaching was very traditional teachers mostly lectured, and students just memorized. Nowadays,
education is more interactive, with group activities, multimedia tools, and digital learning platforms. This makes
classes more engaging and helps students understand concepts better.

Q4: What is more important: learning theoretical knowledge or practical skills?

A4: Both are important, but I think practical skills are slightly more valuable today. Theoretical knowledge gives us
a strong base, but without practical application, it is not very useful. For example, learning computer programming
is good, but practicing coding projects makes a student truly skilled.

Q5: How do you think technology has influenced education?

A5: Technology has completely transformed education. Online classes, smart boards, and educational apps have
made learning easier and more accessible. Students can now access global knowledge instantly, and teachers can
make lessons more interactive. However, one drawback is that students may become too dependent on gadgets.

6. What is the important invention before the age of computers?

What is the important invention before the age of computers?

What is the invention?

One of the most important inventions before the age of computers is the telephone, invented by Alexander Graham
Bell in the late 19th century.

Why do you think it is very important?

I think it is very important because it completely changed the way people communicated. Before the telephone,
people had to rely on letters, which took days or weeks to reach the receiver. But the telephone allowed people to
talk instantly, even if they were miles apart. This invention brought the world closer together and made both
personal and business communication much faster.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of the invention?
The biggest advantage of the telephone was instant communication. It helped families stay connected, improved
international trade, and even saved lives during emergencies. It also laid the foundation for the modern
communication systems we use today, such as mobile phones and the internet.

However, one disadvantage was that, in the early days, telephones were very expensive and not available to
everyone. Also, people became somewhat dependent on it, which reduced the habit of writing letters and sometimes
limited face-to-face interaction.

Overall, despite a few drawbacks, I believe the telephone was a revolutionary invention that shaped the modern
world.

Follow-up Questions and Answers

Q1: What do you think is the greatest invention in human history?

A1: It’s difficult to choose just one, but I would say the wheel is the greatest invention. It completely changed
transportation and made it easier to move goods and people. Without the wheel, many later inventions like cars,
trains, and airplanes would not have been possible.

Q2: How did inventions before computers change people’s lives?

A2: Inventions like the printing press, electricity, and the telephone transformed society. The printing press
spread knowledge, electricity powered homes and industries, and the telephone connected people instantly. These
inventions laid the groundwork for the digital technologies we use today.

Q3: Do you think inventions make people lazy?

A3: To some extent, yes. For example, cars and washing machines save time but also reduce physical activity.
However, inventions are designed to improve efficiency and comfort. I believe it depends on how people use
them—if used wisely, they can make life better without making us lazy.

Q4: Are modern inventions always better than old inventions?

A4: Not always. Old inventions like the wheel or the printing press are still very relevant today. Modern inventions
build on older ones, but that doesn’t mean they replace their importance. For example, the internet is amazing, but
without electricity or the telephone, it wouldn’t exist.

Q5: What kind of inventions do you think we will see in the future?
A5: I think in the future we will see more inventions related to artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and
healthcare. For example, robots may assist in daily life, and new medical technologies might cure diseases that are
currently untreatable. These future inventions will likely focus on solving global problems like climate change and
health crises.
