Gardner's Seven Intelligences
Intelligence Core Components End-States
Logical- Sensitivity to- and capacity to detect, logical or Scientist-
mathematical numerical patterns; ability to handle long Mathematician
chains of reasoning.
Linguistic Sensitivity to the sounds, rhythms, and Poet- Journalist
meanings of words; sensitivity to the different
functions of language.
Musical Abilities to produce and appreciate rhythm, Violinist
pitch, and timbre; appreciation of the forms of Composer
musical expressiveness.
Spatial (Places) Capacities to perceive the places accurately Sculptor -

Intelligence Core Components End-States


Bodily- Abilities to control ones body movements and to Dancer- Athlete
Kinesthetic handle objects skillfully.
Interpersonal Capacities to detect and respond appropriately to Therapist-
the moods, temperaments, motivations, and Salesman

Intrapersonal Access to ones own feelings and the ability to Person with detailed

developed:
• Are aware of their feelings
• Understand the connection between their own feelings
and what they think, do, and say
• Know why certain feelings occur in themselves
• Recognize how their feelings affect their performance
• Understand the implications of their actions
• Are aware of how they are guided by their values and
goals

B. Accurate Self-Assessment

• Are knowledgeable of their own strengths and weaknesses

• Have the ability to be reflective to learn from experience
