Meal Foods to Include Why It Helps
Morning Warm water + lemon, soaked walnuts, pumpkin seeds Detox, zinc for sperm health
Breakfast Vegetable omelet with spinach & mushrooms Protein, folate, antioxidants
Mid-Morning Handful of almonds + 1 fruit (kiwi/pomegranate) Vitamin C & antioxidants improve sperm count
Brown rice with lentils + mixed vegetables + fish
Lunch Omega-3s for motility, zinc & selenium
(salmon/mackerel)

Dinner Grilled chicken/tofu + quinoa + broccoli Amino acids + fiber + antioxidants
Before Bed Herbal tea (ashwagandha, tulsi, chamomile) Reduces stress & cortisol, supports hormones
KEY PRACTITIONER NOTES
Protein (Therapeutic Range: 1.6–2.0 g/kg body weight/day) → Supports testosterone, sperm structure, and repair of DNA
damage. Prioritize high-quality protein (eggs, fish, lean meats, legumes, quinoa).
Healthy Fats (Therapeutic Range: 30–35% of daily calories of fat from clean sources) → Crucial for testosterone synthesis
& sperm membrane integrity. Focus on Omega-3s (fish, flax, chia), monounsaturated fats (olive oil, avocado, nuts).
Limit Omega-6 vegetable oils.
Prioritize Antioxidants – Berries, citrus, pomegranate, tomatoes (lycopene), green tea → protect sperm DNA.
Get Vitamin B12 & Folate – Eggs, grass-fed dairy, fish, leafy greens → improve sperm count & reduce DNA fragmentation.
Monitor for die-off reactions → Temporary worsening (fatigue, headaches, skin flares). Emphasize hydration, fiber, and
binders if needed.
Limit Alcohol, Caffeine & Smoking – Major drivers of oxidative sperm damage.
Avoid Plastics & Endocrine Disruptors – Reduce BPA/phthalates by storing food in glass/steel.
Stay Hydrated – At least 2–3 L/day; dehydration thickens semen and impairs motility.
Note: Normal protein & fat intake will not have therapeutic effect in male infertility cases.
Higher targeted ranges are required for clinical outcomes.

Zinc 20–40 mg/day 3–6 months Supports testosterone & sperm morphology
Selenium 100–200 mcg/day 3–6 months Antioxidant, improves motility
Omega-3 (EPA/DHA) 2–3 g/day 3–6 months Improves sperm count & morphology
Vitamin C 500–1000 mg/day 3–6 months Antioxidant, reduces sperm DNA damage
Powerful antioxidant; improves sperm
Lycopene 6–15 mg/day 3–6 months
concentration, motility & morphology
Vitamin B12 1000 mcg/day (sublingual or Supports DNA synthesis, sperm count,
3–6 months
(Methylcobalamin) injection 1x/week if deficient) and motility
Ashwagandha 300–600 mg/day 3–6 months Improves testosterone & sperm quality
QUICK PRACTITIONER NOTES
Always check baseline nutrient deficiencies (B12, Vitamin D, Zinc, Folate) before supplementing.
Rotate antioxidants (Vitamin C, E, Lycopene, CoQ10) for broader protection.
Address stress, sleep & metabolic health – without that, supplements give suboptimal results.
Duration of supplements may increase or decrease based on the patient's symptoms, lab results, & clinical progress.
