Note 1
a) Your registration is terminated when you are placed in a temporary or permanent position in the
private sector either via PES or via your own personal efforts and after you have informed Pes
regarding the placement. You have the right to reregister if you wish to search for a better position
via PES. If you reregister within the first 3 months of placement, then the matching date remains
the same as the one in your previous application. In case you reregister after 3 months have passed,
then the matching date will be the same as the date of reregistration.
Please note, that in case you find a job on your own and you do not inform PES within the first 28
days from the last date of renewal, then the matching date will be the same as the date of
reregistration.
b) Your registration is terminated when you are placed in a position in the public sector, but you
have the right to reregister if you wish to search for a better position via PES. If you reregister
within the first 3 months of placement i) at a position with duration more than 3 months, then the
matching date will be the same as the registration date of your previous terminated application, ii)
at a temporary position with duration less than 3 months, then the matching date will remain the
same as the one in your previous terminated application.
If the reregistration is done after the 3 months of the placement date, then the matching date will be
the same as the date of reregistration.
Note 2
During your presence at our offices you must always present the following documents: A valid
Cypriot Identification Document, or a valid European Identification Document and Alien
Registration Certificate or a valid Third Country Identification Document and Residence Permit or
Alien Registration Certificate (for Asylum Seekers).
Note 3
Regardless of the person’s registration code (category), must present themselves at PES offices,
whenever this is requested either by the platform or by PES Officers. In case they do not comply
with this request, then their registration will be terminated and the “Candidate Registration Card”
will no longer be valid.
Note 4
Job seekers who are on maternity leave (Registration code 11,12,13), can reregister as unemployed
(Registration code 1) after the maternity leave period comes to pass as is specified by the law
according to the number of births given. If they wish to search for work sooner, they can, after the
9 weeks since labor have passed.
Note 5
This “Candidate Registration Card” is valid only for job seeking purposes and confirms that its
holder has stated that he/she is capable and willing to work.
*Matching date: Is the date by which priority is given during matching for the Public Sector’s
positions.
