The classroom observation began with a very pleasant and organized atmosphere. The teacher
entered the room with a smile, greeted the students warmly, and quickly established a friendly
connection. The students responded with respect, which immediately created an environment of
discipline and positivity. I noticed that the classroom was neat and well-arranged, with proper
seating that allowed every learner to see the board clearly. The physical environment reflected
preparation and seriousness for learning. From the start, the students appeared attentive, sitting
with their notebooks ready, which showed their interest and willingness to participate in the
session. This first impression gave me confidence that the lesson would proceed smoothly.
The teacher started the lesson with a short introduction to the topic, explaining its importance
and relevance. This initial explanation worked like a roadmap, guiding the learners about what
they were going to study. The tone of the teacher’s voice was clear and loud enough to reach all
students, and the language was simple, making it easy for everyone to understand. I observed
that students listened carefully, and many of them immediately began to note down the
important points. The use of the blackboard was very effective, as the teacher wrote in a neat
and visible style, underlining the most important terms. This method helped the learners organize
their notes in a structured way. The flow of the lecture was systematic, moving from basic
concepts toward more detailed explanations in a gradual manner.
Throughout the lesson, the teacher frequently interacted with the students by asking short and
simple questions. This strategy kept them alert and ensured that they were following along.
Whenever a student gave the correct answer, the teacher appreciated it with encouraging words
like “Well done” or “Good.” This positive reinforcement motivated the learners to participate more
actively. Even when some students gave incomplete or incorrect answers, the teacher corrected
them politely and explained the point again with patience. I noticed that a few students were shy
or hesitant to speak, but the teacher involved them by addressing direct but simple questions to
them. This gentle encouragement gave them the confidence to respond, showing the teacher’s
skill in including everyone.
Another impressive element of the teaching was the use of real-life examples. The teacher
related the concepts to situations from daily life, which made the abstract ideas much more
practical and easier to understand. When students heard these examples, their attention
increased, and many of them seemed more engaged, sometimes smiling or nodding in
agreement. To further strengthen the learning process, the teacher also introduced a short group
discussion activity. The students were divided into small groups and given a question to discuss.
This activity created a lively atmosphere, as students interacted with each other, shared ideas,
and helped one another. The teacher walked around the class, observing their discussions and
offering guidance when necessary. This approach gave students independence while keeping
them focused on the task.
As the lesson came toward its conclusion, the teacher summarized all the main points that had
been taught. This summary helped the learners review and consolidate their understanding. After
the summary, a short oral quiz was conducted to test the level of comprehension. Many students
answered confidently, while some made mistakes, but the teacher used those mistakes as
teaching opportunities, providing further explanation. This showed that the teacher was
committed to ensuring that every learner understood the lesson thoroughly. Before ending,
homework was assigned clearly, with instructions written on the board so that no student could
miss it. The task was practical and directly related to the topic covered in the class. The students
noted the homework carefully, which indicated their seriousness.
Reflecting on this observation, I realized that the effectiveness of teaching depends not only on
knowledge but also on the teacher’s attitude and methods. The teacher demonstrated patience,
clarity, and encouragement throughout the session. The use of board work, examples, questions,
and group activities kept the class dynamic and engaging. Discipline was maintained naturally
through respect and positive reinforcement rather than fear. The revision at the end and the short
quiz were excellent strategies to strengthen memory and check understanding. As an observer, I
learned that good teaching requires organization, creativity, and the ability to involve every
student. This session was an excellent example of effective classroom management and
successful learning, and it provided me with valuable insights that I will carry forward in my own
learning journey.
