your office and what are the responsibilities of your position?
2. Expropriation –When the government has taken land in this area, what have been the
primary reasons? What are the steps followed to take land for such purposes?
3. Have you conducted a base line survey for households before expropriation? Have you
conducted a follow up survey for households after expropriation?
4. Has public consultation been conducted before expropriation? What was the reflection
from the inhabitants?
5. How and who calculates compensation? Have you ever been involved in the process of
taking or valuation? What can people do if they are not satisfied with the proposed
compensation?
6. Do you have resettlement action plan for the expropriated households? After land has
been expropriated, what rehabilitation assistance is made available?
7. Do you think the social dimension is given equal emphasis like that of economic
