Sample Answer to PART 1
Age
1. What do you think is the best age to learn driving?
Personally speaking, the ultimate time to learn driving is around 25 years of age, as the brain is fully
developed at this stage and the body is young and supple enough to be able to respond with sharp
reflexes. In addition, at this age, confidence and desire to learn driving may be strong, too.
7
2. How do you feel about getting older?
I think it is normal to grow old. Somehow, getting older makes me more confident. I think it is partly
because I enjoy being exactly who I am without actually caring about what anyone else thinks. Now I
simply don’t have time for the haters or doubters. I feel like time is too precious to waste.
3. Should we treat people of different ages in the same way?
I don’t think we should treat people of different ages in exactly the same way. People of different ages
have different needs. For example, some elderly people may not be able to keep up with the
development of technology. So, I think we should offer more personalized service to people of different
ages.

Sample Answer to PART 2
A volunteering experience I’ve had is helping my school clean up the dormitories of new graduates.
You know, the COVID-19 has been a great hassle for the newly graduated students as they are not
allowed to get into their dorms in the campus to pick up everything they have left since the outbreak of
the virus. So, my school made a decision to give them a hand by letting just a few volunteers pack up all
the graduates’ personal belongings. 8
The reason why I engaged in this volunteering activity was that I felt I was the right person to help. You
know, my house was pretty close to the campus. So, it wouldn’t take me more than 10 minutes to walk
there. Plus, I was kind of bored stuck at home and maybe tidying up dorms would be fun!
Well, the real experience turned out to be not that fun, honestly. You know, not only should I do video
streaming to my fellow graduates so that they knew what they needed and what they didn’t, but also I
got to clean up all the trash, which was no easy job while I was wearing a face mask. But, I ended up
having a huge sense of fulfilment, especially when I received recognition from both of my fellows and the
school. This will surely become one of the most meaningful experiences in my life.

Sample Answer to PART 3
1. What personalities and qualities are required for being a volunteer?
I believe reliability, compassion and dedication are the most important qualities a volunteer should have.
People who are reliable and willing to make an ongoing commitment to an organization could help to make
a real difference. Apart from those, interpersonal skills, ability to learn and learn quickly, and problem
solving skills are some important skills that a volunteer should have.
9
2. Do you think people nowadays should participate more in volunteering?
Yes. Volunteering is not only good for those who are receiving help, but also beneficial to the doer for many
reasons. Volunteering connects you with others. If you’re feeling lonely, or simply want to widen your social
circle, volunteering in your local community is an important – and often fun – way to meet new people.
Besides, doing good for others and the community helps to create a natural sense of accomplishment and
helps you forget your own problems.
3. How can companies engaging in volunteering help our society?
I think it hugely depends on what volunteer activities they are taking part in. If a certain company is
conducting coastal clean-up activity, then for sure they help save the ocean’s health. If companies are doing
humanitarian aid like educating children, providing basic necessities or medical care to underprivileged
communities, then they make those people’s lives better.
