NORTH AMERICAN CUISINE
CHARACTERISTICS

The cuisine of the American continent is synonymous with diversity and thousands of
years of tradition. On this side of the world, the culinary culture has 3 great
influences: the indigenous peoples of America, the European colonizers and the
African migrations.

GEOGRAPHY OF NORTH AMERICA

North America is the largest geographical division that the Earth has, after
Europe, Asia, and Africa. It is surrounded to the west by the Pacific Ocean,
This is to the Atlantic Ocean, and to the north by the Arctic Ocean. The closest point
to Asia is the Bering Strait, in the northwest. It is surrounded to the west by
the Pacific Ocean, to the east by North America consists of five regions
main ones. These are the mountainous west, the Great Plains, the shield

different types of biomes.

REGIONS OF NORTH AMERICA

New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC.

Arkansas, Carolina del Norte, Carolina del Sur, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana,
Mississippi, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
The Midwest it is a vast set of states that extends towards the
west, from Ohio to Nebraska, and includes North Dakota, South Dakota
Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
The Southwest includes the states of Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma and

Texas.

The West is made up of Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho,


Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

American cuisine varies depending on the country we are in,
