In our country, a solid reading culture has NOT been developed from the family, the school, and the community.

students. This situation has led the Ministry of Education of Peru, in its normative and guiding role, to
implement a set of strategies aimed at mobilizing society in order to reverse that situation. And
the understanding and taking a critical stance towards the explicit and implicit messages that are conveyed in the
texts with the goal of creating critical readers and consequently creative products.
To achieve, fulfill and implement the functioning of the Reading Plan, it is important to provide at our school
situations of recreational and enjoyable readings. Allowing students to voluntarily approach the
books. This will effectively position them towards reading, turning them into regular readers. It means having
incorporated reading into everyday life, this will promote the acquisition, development, and consolidation of the
communicative skills for the understanding of various types of texts, which will allow students
learn with autonomy throughout their life.
Through our Reading Plan, we aim to build a solid education in the students, therefore we direct
our objectives towards an education focused on promoting in the student reading habits and skills that
ensure a culture of continuous learning throughout life.

PROPOSAL FOR SELF-INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROBLEM SOLVING
What does the problem tell me?: the students have to think about what the problem tells me, what data I have and
What do I have to respond to?
I draw and put down the data: students should avoid writing too much text.
What do they ask me?: Students must find out what they have to respond to, if they have all the data, if
they are missing some and if they have to gather, remove, etc.
I remember the operations I have to carry out: add, subtract, multiply, or divide.
