Objective:

1. Management Representative:
Overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 requirements.
Designating competent personnel to implement this procedure.
2. Health and Safety Manager/Coordinator:
Overseeing the identification, assessment, and management of compliance
obligations.
Ensuring the integration of compliance obligations into the organization's OH&S
management system.
3. Department Heads/Supervisors:
Identifying and communicating compliance obligations within their respective areas
of responsibility.
Providing necessary resources and support for compliance activities.
Procedure Steps:
1. Identification of Legal and Other Requirements:
Establish a process to identify and document all applicable legal requirements,
regulations, standards, and other obligations related to occupational health and
safety.
Regularly monitor and review sources such as government websites, industry
publications, and regulatory updates to stay informed of changes in requirements.
2. Evaluation of Compliance Obligations:
Assess the identified obligations to determine their relevance, applicability, and
potential impact on the organization's operations, activities, and objectives.
Consider the nature, scale, and complexity of the organization's activities, as well as
the context in which they operate.
3. Documentation and Communication:
Document the identified compliance obligations in a central repository, such as a
legal register or compliance database, ensuring accessibility to relevant personnel.
Communicate the identified obligations to all relevant stakeholders, including
employees, contractors, and other interested parties, to raise awareness and foster
understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
4. Integration into OH&S Management System:
Integrate the identified compliance obligations into the organization's OH&S
management system processes, including risk assessment, operational controls,
training, and performance evaluation.
Ensure that controls and procedures are in place to address non-compliance and
mitigate associated risks.
5. Monitoring and Review:
Establish monitoring mechanisms to track compliance with identified obligations,
including regular audits, inspections, and performance evaluations.
