Importance of Healthy Food
Food is the first basic necessity for us. We cannot live without it. But all foods are not healthy. Healthy food
means those food items which are rich in food value. It is nutritious. It must contain natural substances that
our body needs to grow properly and stay healthy. It is also important for lowering health risk. Healthy food
needs to have a balance of carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals and water. These keep our body fit
and free from diseases. Eating too much is bad for health. We have to eat only a certain amount of food from
different food groups. The necessary quantity of each food group depends on our growth and physical
structure. So we should take healthy food regularly.
