Ethio- Djibouti Rail way company was crucial and my role was helping the
replace the failure component part of Electric locomotive maintainance group and
also I learned How to Shape the rough of Wheel trade of Electric Locomotive by
Lathe Machine by It's manual theories and Focusing in practical
application of mechanical engineering Principles.

Working on actual projects helped solidified in theoritecal knowledge and It is

The internship improved my ablity to work in team, communicate effectively with
colleagues and supervisor's and manage time effeciently. I learned importance of
attention detail and the value of constructive feedback in engineering process.
Industry insight
I gained valuable Insight into mechanical engineering field , including current
challenges , trends and the impact of new technologeis on product development
and design.
Challenges
One of the challenges I faced was adapting fast- pace project timelines managing
multiple tasks simutaneously. I overcame this by prioritizing my
workload, improving my time management skills, and seeking guidance from more
experiencedteam members.
Conclusion
My Internship at Ethio-Djibouti Railway Company was transformative experience
that bridged the gab Between academic learning and professional Engineering
practice . It has affirmed my passion for mechanical engineering and prepared me
for a successful career in this dynamic field.
Recommendation
EDR connecting Business is back bone of our countries. It is Doing multimodal
work that means import and export materials /goods, Like Coffee, fertilizer, Big
Machine and etc. However the Company can prove all system by dijitalizing
ratherthan this he can do more by expanding Railway Line from Single Track Line
to Double track Line also Change from operation system of Semi-
Automatic blocking system to Full Automatic blocking system .
Every Mechanical students must know about CAD knowledge before Internship.
Also University must have follow Up It's Students by asigning person to Company
during Internship time .at least Department can be Fellow It's students once per
month.
