Hi, my lovely readers!! This book is a sequel to Little demon but can also
be read as a stand-alone. If you've not read Little demon yet, you can go
and read or you could still read this straight away. Enjoy!!!

Vegas

No matter how much I told Pete I didn't like him frequenting the main house,
he never listened. Tankhun always looks for the slightest chance to steal him
away. He is unbearable. Can't he just leave him in peace? How can one be so
hard-headed? That cousin of mine is unbelievable. They need to understand
he is no longer a bodyguard.
Pete left home this morning and he's still not back. How can he do this? I will
punish him tonight. Am not letting him off that easily. I need to go to the main
house to make myself clear to them. It's about time they stopped this
nonsense, especially Tankhun.

I got into my clothes grabbed my keys and headed out. I saw Macau and
Venice playing around the house and Venice jumped up as soon as he saw
me. I got closer and picked him up.

"Hey buddy," I said kissing him on the cheek. "Daddy needs to go attend to
some business. I will be back soon so stay with Macau for a bit okay? You
could go boss the bodyguards around too. You're very good at it" I said giving
him another kiss and he kissed me back.

"Where are you off to?" Macau asked crossing his arms over his chest. "Am
going to bring Pete back" I replied handing Venice over to him. "He can come
back on his right? He asked laughing. "You think he was going to come now if
I don't go get his ass over here? Am sure that cousin of mine has kidnapped
him in his room watching some stupid series" I said and Macau nodded his
head in agreement. "I'll be back," I said before, walking away.

My drive to the main family house was short as I drove a little faster than
usual. I got to the entrance and the bodyguards greeted and I nodded in
response. I made my way inside the house.

"Hey Vegas, what brings you here? It's been a while since we saw you around
here, Porsche said as soon as he saw me.

"Am here to save Pete, I said with a straight face.

"What?!!! Pete was kidnapped? By whom, he asked and I raised a brow. Was
he seriously asking me this question?
"Am here to save him from that crazy cousin of mine, I replied and Porsche let
out a loud laugh. He kept laughing and it was now beginning to annoy me.
"What's funny? I asked furrowing my brows.

"I doubt you will be able to take him from this place today because Tankhun
was watching a series with him since morning and after they took a break, he
again took Pete and went out with his shopping, he finished I was now really
angry.

What does my cousin take Pete for? Some servant who would be at his beck
and call? And to think Pete runs to him every time he calls with the excuse of
burning the minor family house down if he doesn't show up. I will be the one to
burn the main family house down if he messed with me and my family, I said
looking irritated and Porsche still wouldn't stop laughing.2

"Come burn down this place if you have the balls," a voice said and I knew it
was no one other than Kinn. Another person who could equally ruin my mood.
"Why don't you just tell your brother to leave Pete alone huh? Does Pete owe
him anything?' I asked shooting a glare at Kinn.

"Am not the one keeping your man so why are you directing your anger at
me? He said rolling his eyes. "You are his brother so it's normal no take it out
on you," I said prettily.

"Eyes are looking at you Vegas, I advise you to wait for them inside, he said
walking over to Porsche and kissing him. I rolled my eyes at the sight. "You
guys got no shame huh? I said sarcastically intending to piss Kinn off.

"Yes, I've got no shame. Do you have a problem with that?" He threw back at
me. I don't have the time to deal with him right now.

I made my way into the house and I made my way to Tankhun's room. That is
exactly where I want to wait for them.
"You are something else Vegas," Porsche says as he followed behind me.
"Am crazy when he comes to Pete" I replied and he shook his head.

I sat in the room with my legs crossed as I kept staring at the doorway.

"I can't believe this Vegas" you are obsessed with Pete and I'm amazed,
Porsche said with a look that said I was unbelievable. I didn't respond to him
and kept my attention focused on the door while he switched on the TV to
watch a show.

I kept checking the time and It was 6 pm already. How on earth could they be
out for this long? I've been here for four hours and there was no sign of them.
Pete is really in for some real trouble after am done with my cousin. Porsche
knew not to utter a word as he saw I wasn't really in a good mood.

Finally, the door opened and Tankhun entered with Pete and his other
bodyguards.

"The movie at the cinema was so nice Pete! My cousin screamed and I got on
my feet glaring hard at him. Pete saw me and immediately hid behind Arm. I
was amused by his sudden action. He's hiding now. Interesting.

"What the hell are you doing here Vegas? Tankhun asked loudly.

"What am I doing here? Is that a question you are supposed to ask me when
you've held my baby captive since morning? And what did you just say? Did
you go to watch a movie? I thought it was just shopping you went to do and
you happen to drag him again to watch a movie. I asked irritated.

"You seem to have forgotten he has a family and Venice is still a kid and
needs him around. How can you be this selfish?" I asked unbelievably. Pete
was still hiding behind the bodyguard looking at me.
"Cut the crap Vegas! You are around and can take care of Venice. You are
good at it so why complain so much if Pete is out for just a day? He glared at
me.

"Just a day? You invite him here all the time and you tell me it's just a day?
Am taking him back and so forget about him sleeping over. He is not yours
anymore and I have every right to take him back, I looked in Pete's direction.

"Come out Pete, I asked calmly but he was still behind Arm. "Pete come out!
What are you hiding behind there? I came to take you home so please come.

"I am not coming out until you calm down Vegas, he replied not making any
attempt to come to me. I sighed and brought my hand to touch my temple.

He is stubborn and I will use the only way I knew he will obey.

"Come out now, Pete!

One...two...1

"Fine am coming to you," he said and made his way over to me, I smiled to
myself. He is always scared of the count.

I took his hand in mine and we made our way out. Ignoring all the others in the
room including Porcshe who still found my attitude hilarious.

"You bastard cousin" Tankhun yelled but I ignored him.

Pete walked by my side quietly as we walked to the car.

"Are you mad at me Vegas, he finally broke the silence?

"Am not mad Pete, I just don't like you being away from me for too long,
especially if it's my cousin who called you, I replied calmly and he was finally
relieved I wasn't mad at him.
Don't be too happy yet Pete, I will still punish you for this when we get home, I
said smirking at him.

"You bastard Vegas, can't you just let it go?" He said and I knew the calm
Pete from before was gone. I kind of like him when he's like this. He has no
idea what I have in store for him when we get home.

"What are you planning Vegas? He asked curiously.

"You'll find out when we get home."

Vegas

We arrived home and made our way up to our room. Pete was looking uneasy
as he kept thinking of what I had in mind but I just laughed to myself. How can
he get so scared easily? He is so stubborn at times but I still love him so
much.

"Let's go check up on Venice Pete, it's been a while since we left him," I said
and he nodded. We made our way over to Macau's room.

Pa! He screamed as he saw me. How come you're not asleep yet? It's very
late Venice, I said frowning at him.

"Was watching a cartoon with P'Macau" he said and I glared at Macau.

Venice was two years old now and could speak quite clearly now. He has
been very troublesome ever since he was able to walk and speak properly.

"I did not want him to watch the cartoon because I knew it was late but you
know how he is. He kept crying and I had no choice but to give in to him"
Macau said pouting slightly.

"Stop it Vegas, you are too much when it comes to Venice. It's not that late so
just leave it" Pete said tiredly. "I'll take it from here Macau. Have a goodnight" I
say as the three of us made our way out.

"Go take a shower, Pete, I'll put Venice to bed and join you soon, I said and
he nodded and walked away. I proceeded to take Venice to his room. I settled
him on his bed covering him with the sheets. "You got yourself, tired honey," I
said caressing his cheek.

"It was P' Macau he said laughing. I couldn't help but laugh. Looks like Macau
will be blamed for everything.

"Go to sleep now honey, am taking you somewhere tomorrow," I said kissing
him on the forehead. " I want to kiss Pa too," he said and I got my face closer
and he kissed me on the cheek. He finally closed his eyes and went to sleep
in no time. He hates his lights being off and so I left it on and left his room.

Pete was already done showering when I got into the room. "He fell asleep
already?" He asked as soon as he saw me. "Yes, and he slept already.
Venice is good at blaming everything on Macau, I replied pulling Pete to sit on
the bed. "Let me dry your hair for you, I said taking the towel from him. "Why
are you so tensed up?" I asked as I cleaned his hair.

"You didn't really like my going over to the main house and I figured you're still
mad at me" he replied. "Come on Pete, I am not mad at you but at my cousin.
He doesn't want to let you be. I just didn't like the idea. You were gone for so
long and I was missing you."

"He leaned into me and I smiled at the action. "So what did you say you had
planned for me? Is it something dirty? He asked mischievously and I raised a
brow.

"You want to do it now? I know you are tired and so we'll do that tomorrow, he
nodded and leaned into me more. I was done drying his hair and putting away
the towel.

"Come on, let's get you to bed, I say as I got him up and made him
comfortable on the bed. I covered him up with the sheets and kissed him on
the forehead. "Go ahead and sleep Pete, I'll shower and join you soon. "Okay
don't be long" he replied and smiled showing his cute dimples.

I showered and came out in no time. Found him already asleep. "How could
he exhaust himself this much? I will not allow my cousin to do this to him
again. I got in bed and pulled him to me and wrapped my arms around him.
Kissing him lightly on the lips. I looked at his cute sleeping figure and I am
really happy.

We've been together for two years already and even though we've been
family ever since I still wanted something that would bind us forever and the
only thing I can think of is to marry him. I want to call him to mine forever. I will
do that. Wait for my surprise, Pete. I finally drifted off to sleep as well

"Macau! I called out to him as he was chasing Venice around. He picked the
kid up and made his way over. I'd like to discuss something with you" I said
and he frowned. "What is it, bro?" He asked curiously.
I've been thinking and I think it's finally time I do it Macau. I want to marry
Pete" I said and he screamed.
"Really? He asked excitedly. "Shhhhh...don't let Pete hear any word about it" I
cautioned. "I want it to be a surprise.

"Am so happy bro. It's about time. We all love P'Pete and it's time you do the
needful to keep him forever" he said hugging me. How come he's more
excited than I am? He does love Pete and am going to keep him forever.

"What's with the hugs? What's the occasion" Pete asked exiting the house.
Macau and I let go of each other and prepared to face him.

"Pick me up Pa! Venice said and I did as he wished.

"Why were you two hugging as something happened? He asked crossing his
hands over his chest. "No one wants to speak?" He asked again raising a
brow. Fine, I'll be someone who wouldn't lie.

"Pumpkin, did you hear what your daddy and P'Macau were saying? He
asked Venice as he took him from me and the kid nodded. "Great" Pete
replied. Tell me what went on here.

"Pa said he will take me out for ice cream today" Venice replied making
Macau and I laugh. When did I promise him ice cream? I did promise to take
him somewhere not ice cream. He is something else.

"So ice cream got you two hugging? Does this even make sense?" Pete
asked shooting a glare at us.

My brother just got me a new shirt I wanted for me and that got me so happy"
Macau said and Pete nodded. Makes sense now. "And Vegas, don't you dare
get Venice ice cream today else am going to kill you.
"Why am I the one to get killed? You should tell the one who wants to eat it
not me. He chuckled and walked away with Venice.

"You're helping me pick out a ring tomorrow Macau. Deal?"

"Hell yes, am in!"

Pete

Thankfully Vegas did not punish me like he said he would. I knew he wouldn't
do anything if I looked tired and so I acted like I was too tired to even breathe.
I got you there Vegas, am too smart, I smiled to myself as I retired Venice to
bed for the night. He was already asleep and I guess he was very tired from
bossing the bodyguards around all day. I kissed him goodnight and left his
room.

I hope Vegas is asleep by the time I get back. I got into our room and his eyes
were already closed. Thank goodness he slept already. I proceeded to cover
him up with the sheets when his eyes suddenly opened and he smirked at me.
Before I could register what he was up to, he already flipped me over and was
now on top of me.1

"You seriously thought I would let you off huh? I told you yesterday you will be
punished and I've not forgotten about it, Pete. I let you off because you looked
tired but you are very much energetic today so you have to be a good boy and
take your punishment okay? He said winking at me. "You are very wicked
Vegas" your cousin only invited me over so why should I be punished for it? I
said glaring at him. "You should know the feud between the two of us will
never end and so am punishing you for going over. Just be a good boy, he
whispered and connected his lips to mine. I struggled to leave his grip but I
couldn't.

He took my hand and before I could ask what he was about to do, he cuffed it
to the bed. "What the hell! I yelled at him but he just laughed. He kissed my
neck as his fingers trailed down my chest. I tried stopping the moan that
wanted to escape my lips but couldn't. I finally gave in and he smiled. "That's
more like it Pete," he said kissing me hard on the lips. I moaned into his mouth
as he gripped hard on my hair. We do this quite often but each time, it's still
amazing. Pulling away, he took off my clothes and his as well as he hovered
over me again and kissed down my chest I had no idea when the bastard had
lubed me up and before I realized, he had entered me. I grabbed the sheets
hard as I threw my head back. He thrust slowly and finally increased the pace
just as I liked it. I was a moaning mess now as he kept hitting my sweet spot.
It went on for a while and we both came, dropping on the bed and catching
our breath.

"You're amazing Pete, he said and I elbowed him on the side. I'll kick you out
if you don't shut up" I came back at him. "Let's go shower," he said pulling me
into the bathroom.

The sun pierced through the curtain, hitting my face which made me open my
eyes. I checked the time and it was already 10 am. How could I sleep this
long? I got off the bed and walked to the bathroom and quickly took my
shower before making my way out of the room.

"Come sit down Pete, let's eat breakfast," Vegas said as soon as he saw me. I
smiled and made my way over to sit. "Why didn't you wake me up? I asked
furrowing my brow. "I felt you needed enough rest and didn't wake you" he
replied feeding Venice. "Venice came to wake me up so early and I quickly
took him out in other not to wake you" he chuckled. I kept staring at Vegas
and Venice. I really can't tell who is feeding who. Both of them are so weird.
"Venice, you're now a daddy's pet huh? I asked and he laughed not taking his
eyes off his food for a second trying to feed Vegas.
Where's Macau? I don't see him around" I ask still eating my meal. "He had an
urgent meeting at school so he left early, Vegas replied and I nodded. We all
ate our meal peacefully. I cleared the dishes after we were done.

"I will be going over to the main family house to discuss some business with
Kinn" Vegas said as he got dressed. "Can Venice and I come with you? I will
be bored at home" I said blinking my eyes hoping he will say yes. "I know
what you're doing Pete and I am not letting you follow me, he replied and I
frowned. "I promise I'll be good Vegas, please let me come with you please,
please, please" I pleaded childishly and he sighed and nodded. "Fine you can
come with me" he replied and I quickly left the room to get Venice.

We made our way to the main family house and arrived in no time.

"After all the fuss yesterday, you still came back here?" Kinn asked Vegas and
I knew his goal was to irritate him as usual. "Am here for business Vegas
replied" Wait for me Pete, I'll be back soon" he said to me, kissing me on the
cheek, and then Venice.

"What an annoying sight," Tankhun said suddenly and we all looked in his
direction. Are you two the only ones in a relationship here huh? What at all
attracted Pete to you? He said in a tone intended to piss Vegas off but Vegas
paid no attention to him and walked away with Kinn.

"When are you going to put an end to this feud between you two?" I chuckled.
"The day you dump him" Tankhun replied rolling his eyes. He is so protective
of you. Why won't he marry you already? He gets on my nerves" he said and
ushered Venice and me inside.

We settled in his room and honestly, I couldn't stop thinking about what
Tankhun said a while ago. I have thought about the idea of marriage but I
never brought it up to Vegas. I've been with him for two years and we've been
together as a family but deep down, I wanted something that would bind us
together forever. I can't bring it up to Vegas because I didn't want it to look like
am imposing it on him. He might probably be okay like this and I don't want to
make him do it just because I wanted it. I sighed and focus on Venice who
was now watching a series with his uncle.1

I didn't know when Venice got closer to me. He was looking at me intently like
he was trying to figure something out. "What is it baby," I asked slightly
pinching his cheek.

"You're sad, am going to call Pa," he said and begin walking to the door with
his tiny legs, I smiled and hurried to fetch him back. "Am not sad baby, your
Pa will be here very soon, I hugged him tightly.

"You guys are very touchy in your family, Tankhun said teasingly and focused
back on his series. After waiting around for a while, Vegas finally appeared.

"Let's go, Pete," he said as he got closer to us. I picked up Venice and said
my goodbyes to Tankhun and we headed out.

We got home a while later and Macau was already back. "You guys are back,"
he said getting up. "Pete, Macau, and I need to go somewhere, we won't be
long," Vegas said and I raised a brow. We haven't even settled down yet.
"What are you going to do," I asked them curiously. "To buy a shirt at the mall,
I want more shirts and my brother wants to get me some, Macau replied.

"We'll be back very soon Pete" Vegas said as the both of them made their
way out.

Pa! I want ice cream" Venice screamed. " Daddy will get it for you" Vegas
replied and they disappeared.

They are so bad at lying. How can they make the same excuse twice?
I wonder what they are up to.

Chapter 4

Vegas

Honestly, I was nervous as hell. I do want to do this with Pete so much but
does he want to? What if he is okay with us being this way? I couldn't help
thinking.

"What got you thinking bro," Macau asked, bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Do you think Pete is going to say yes? What if he is okay with the way we are
and doesn't want to get married? I asked and Macau laughed. "You don't
need to worry about that. Pete is going to say yes" he sounded confident.

I was amazed by the confidence he has. "Why are you so confident about it?"
I couldn't help asking. "Come on, you both basically can't live without each
other so it's a yes from him, so relax and let's choose a ring already because
am so excited about this" Macau replied looking all happy. I smiled and went
back to checking the rings out. So many beautiful ones but I finally settled on
a ring with a bezel setting, which has a diamond stone placed on it. It looked
beautiful.

We finally got home and I got out of the car, leaving Macau behind. He was
still in the car talking with Chay over the phone. I got into the house and to my
surprise, Porsche was around, chatting comfortably with Pete.
I made our way over to them. "Hey Porsche, what brought you here? I asked
and he frowned. "Do I need a reason to visit Pete? I missed him and so I
came to see him. You should be happy I came alone because Tankhun had
wanted to come with me but I escaped" he replied and I laughed. Thank
goodness.

I looked at Pete and he was already shooting glares at me. I have to be

prepared for this one. "How many hours does it take to get get a shirt? Pete
asked and I scratched the back of my head. "Uhh...we had a hard time trying
to find what Macau wanted, that's why it took a while. I replied and he rolled
his eyes.

Pete kept looking around looking for something. "Where is Macau, didn't he
come back with you? He asked looking around. Macau still hasn't entered.
How long was he going to talk on the phone, kid these days?

Macau finally entered and Pete got up on his feet. "Let me see what Vegas
got for you," he said stretching out his hand to take the bag from the bag. I
suddenly got nervous. The ring was in the bag and I'll be screwed if he sees it.
My surprise will be ruined. I have to act fast. I got in front of Pete, wrapping
my arms around him. "No need to bother looking at it Pete, it's just some
normal shirt," I said and his glare almost killed me.

"Let go of me Vegas, what's wrong if I see what you bought? The both of you
are so bad at lying. You got him a shirt yesterday and you buy another one
today. Are you two for real? He looked at Macau and the kid looked away.

Pete pulled himself away from me, placing a hand on his hip. "Give it to me
Macau, I want to see what this loving brother got you. There's nothing wrong if
I see it" he said with a smile but trust me it wasn't just a smile. It was more
like, you both think am stupid kinda smile. Porsche relaxed in the chair,
amused by what was happening.

Macau sighed, handing Pete the bag. He immediately took out the shirt and
looked at it carefully, before nodding his head. Pete searched the bag
thoroughly but found nothing else. Where did Macau keep the ring? I looked
at him and he smiled. He is smart actually. I sighed in relief.1

Pete was still far from convinced. "There is a shirt indeed but I still don't
believe the two of you and I will find out what you're up to" Pete replied, going
back to take his seat.

I realized Venice was not in the room. We were so busy trying to convince
Pete that I just noticed. "I don't see Venice around, where is he?" I asked and
Pete sighed. "He fell asleep after making a lot of trouble. I feel pity for the
bodyguards who have to put up with him every day" Pete replied making me
laugh.

"The kid looks like you Vegas. He's already giving the bodyguards a hard
time. I have no doubt he's your son" Porsche teased. "Well, they have to put
up with him because he's not letting them off anytime soon" I replied and Pete
glared as usual.

"I'll go check on Venice, I'll be right back," Pete said and walked away.
"Where's the ring we bought? I asked Macau and Porsche raised a brow. I
forgot he was here with us. He's not a big mouth and so it's fine. "I left in the
car. I had a feeling he was going to check what we brought" Macau replied
with a laugh. That was close. We would have been caught.

Porsche who was still seated kept looking curiously at Macau and me. "Why
are you staring? I asked raising a brow. "Why don't you spill it already Vegas?
I already heard you two" he smirked. "Shouldn't you pretend you heard
nothing? It's not your business anyways" I replied sarcastically but he didn't
look like he would give up anytime soon.

Porsche stared at us for some time before speaking. "The both of you were
very strange when you came back. It was like you two were hiding something
from him. Maybe I should just tell Pete you didn't just go to buy a shirt. Pete!!
He called loudly and I run to cover his mouth. "Are you for real Porsche? Fine
I'll tell you but don't you dare shout if I let go of your mouth" he nodded before
I finally let go. "That's more like it" he replied smiling mischievously. "Come
with me," I said pulling him outside.

"So what are the both of you hiding?" Porsche asked curiously. I hesitated for
some time before speaking. "I want to propose to Pete," I said and he gasped
covering his mouth. "Yes Porsche, I want to marry him and that's why am
doing this. I want it to be a surprise but Macau and I are so bad at lying that
we could get caught" I finished, putting my hands into my pockets. I was still
nervous.

Porsche kept staring at me and smiling before bringing his hand up, and
placing it on my shoulder. "Am so proud of you Vegas, you are a real man.
Pete will be very happy" he said with a wink. "You think so, Porsche? Am so
nervous" I replied and he laughed. "Come on Vegas, you can do it," he said
confidently.

He is a good friend to Pete. I couldn't help the smile that crept onto my lips.
"I'll do it Porsche, but I don't know how to go about the proposal" I replied and
he patted my shoulder.

"Do you need my help with it? He asked and I looked up instantly.

"How are you going to help me?

"We'll need everyone from the minor family" he smirked.

Pete

Vegas has been acting so strange lately. Not just him, but Macau as well.
They were being so secretive, always talking in whispers when am not
looking. What is going on with them? They've been like this for three days. I
feel there is something they don't want me to know. He didn't talk with me
much like he used to and it's been three days already.

I sat on the couch watching Vegas as he played with Venice by the bed.

"A penny for your thoughts?" He asked snapping me out of my thoughts.

"It's nothing Vegas, you two just look cute together" I smiled at him but he
didn't look convinced. He shrugged and went back to play with Venice. Did he
give up so easily? He didn't even insist like he always did. He is changing and
now it's getting to me.

"I have to head out Pete," he said getting up and handing Venice over to me.
"Where are you going?" I asked curiously. "Am meeting someone to discuss
some business" I furrowed my brows at him. He looked like he was in a rush.
He kissed me and then Venice and headed out, without giving me a chance to
say more. What at all is up with him?
Venice whined as he watched his dad leave. I bet he didn't like the idea too.
Vegas should be spending time with us since he didn't go to the office today
but he just chose to go off somewhere without telling me whom he was going
to meet. I sighed and focused my attention on my little pumpkin.

"Do you want to go get some ice cream?" I asked and he jumped up and
down with joy. "Yes I want ice cream" he replied happily. It has been a while
since I let him have one so I should get it for him today.

I dressed him up in a pink dress his uncle Tankhun got him some time ago
and we headed over to the ice cream shop. Macau insisted he'd come along
and I let him. We got to the shop and looked through the rows of flavors.

"Which one do you like baby?" I asked Venice whose eyes were solely
focused on the ice cream. He was having a hard time choosing what he
wanted. A kid should just pick any flavor they set their eyes on but that
wouldn't happen with Venice. "I want this" he finally pointed to the vanilla
flavor. Macau and I chose the cheesecake flavor and made our way to sit.

Venice kept feeding me his ice cream and I was beginning to wonder who was
the baby here. I kept staring at Macau intently and finally decided to ask.

"Do you know where Vegas went? He looked up at me. "I have no idea where
he went P'Pete" he replied and went back to eating his ice cream.

"Are the both of you hiding anything from me? As much as I try to not think
this way, I couldn't. You both suddenly speak in whispers when am not
looking. Vegas goes off somewhere without telling me who was going to meet.
He called all the guards yesterday to assemble and I insisted on going to the
meeting room with him but he refused and told me to stay back. Maybe he is
doing something shady" I sounded so dejected.
Macau frowned at my words and brought his hand to hold mine on the table.
"Don't worry P'Pete, my brother isn't doing anything shady trust me" he
assured and I nodded. It's not like I had a choice.

It was night already and I put Venice to bed. Vegas was still not back from
wherever the hell he went to. He didn't pick up my calls too.

"What has come over him lately? Or he's losing interest in me. No, that's not
possible. Just three days ago we were so in love and he can't fall out of love
that easily" I thought to myself. I sighed and pulled the sheets over me. I tried
sleeping but couldn't.

I heard the door click open and sighed in relief. He probably thought I was
sleeping as he made as little noise as possible, proceeded to take his shower,
and got into bed with me. I was not in the mood to talk to him and so I
pretended to sleep. He got under the sheets with me but he did not pull me
into him like he always did. I opened my eyes to see what was wrong and to
my surprise, he put some distance between us with his back facing me. My
heart sank.

Why is he like this? Have I done something to hurt him without knowing? Am
confused. He is becoming distant and it's scaring me. I kept staring at him and
drifted off to sleep without realizing it.

The sun was already piercing through the blinds as it hit me in the face,
forcing me to open my eyes. I sat myself up and realized Vegas wasn't beside
me. I checked the time and it was 9 am. I quickly got up from the bed. How
could I have slept in like this? I needed to feed Venice. I got in the shower and
got myself ready to head out.

I headed to the door but when I tried to open it, it was locked. What the hell?
Who stupidly locked me in here huh? I called Vegas and Macau but there was
no response. I was pacing around as I was already losing it. I will deal with
whoever locked me in here. I was in here for an hour before the door finally
opened.

I was about to snap at whoever opened it and realized it was Macau and
calmed down. "Who locked me in here?" I asked calmly. I was mad at Vegas
and not him. "It wasn't me P'Pete, but I was asked to bring you outside" he
replied and I raised a brow. "Bring me out for what and by whom?" I asked
losing my calm exterior. Macau just smile and pulled something out from his
pocket.

"A blindfold?" I yelled.

You've got to be kidding me. He didn't wait for me to talk and hurriedly walked
to me, and wrapped it around my eyes.

"Am only obeying orders P'Pete" he said and I inhale deeply. What the hell is
this all about? I decided he should do whatever he wants.

Whoever asked you to do this, I will kick his ass.

I have a fair idea who it was already. Just wait Vegas.

Pete

Macau led me out of the room, guiding me carefully as I couldn't see through
the blindfold. We carefully descend the stairs and curiosity was getting the
better of me. We kept walking but never got to our destination. The sun hit my
skin and that made me realize we were now out of the house. We're in the
main compound I guess.

"Are we not there yet" I couldn't help asking but Macau just laughed, refusing
to reply.

After what felt like forever we finally came to a stop. I guess we're here. I was
about to take off the blindfold when a hand stopped me.

"Not yet P'Pete, you are not the one to take it off," Macau said and honestly, I
was so nervous but nodded my head in agreement.

I kind of felt Macau and I was not the only one here. It was quiet but I bet
there were others around. What is Vegas pulling up now? Locking me up in
the room and asking Macau to blindfold me here after ignoring me for days.
He's going to hear from me after I take this darn blindfold off.

I felt someone walking towards me and made a stop. The person held my
head and kissed me on the forehead. "Just so you know, you are such a great
friend," the voice said and there was no way I could be mistaken about who it
was. It was Porsche. But what the hell was he doing here? He stepped aside
without saying anything else.

Another person walked up to me. "You've been such an amazing guardian to

me and I want to say thank you" this voice was Macau and before I could
speak, he also kissed me on the forehead. What is happening here?

The third person walked over and this time it wasn't like the others. The hands
cupped my face and I couldn't help the smile that crept onto my lips. The
hands were so tiny. It was my baby Venice. I guess someone carried him so
he'd reach my level. He begin to kiss me all over the face and it was hilarious.
"Pa they covered your eyes," he said laughing. He is so cute and I love him so
much. I no longer felt him close to me and I guess he went away too.

The fourth person stood before me and my heart skipped a beat all at once. I
instantly recognized it was Vegas without him speaking. How could I not
recognize him? His scent was something I could recognize anywhere. I loved
it. I was getting more nervous as he stood in front of me without saying a
word. I felt a hand go up behind my head and slowly took off the blindfold. I
slowly adjusted to the sun and looked at a smiling Vegas standing before me.

I looked around me and tons of bodyguards were all dressed in official clothes
and were standing in line. It was like they rehearsed it. Porsche, Macau, and
Venice were standing not far away from me and the place was decorated with
so many flowers. It was beautiful that I could barely recognize it was the
house I lived in.

"Did I give you a scare?" Vegas asked, smiling at me. I didn't know what all
this was about. Before I could ask him the questions on my mind, he took both
my hands in his and began to speak.

"Pete, in the past, you were just a mere bodyguard from the main family that
didn't have any effect on me. But suddenly, you entered my life and changed
my world. As hard-headed as I was, your pretty smiles slowly melted every
wall I had put up around me. You affect my whole life now Pete, the longer the
days I spend with you, the more secure I felt. When I hated myself and the
loneliness I've always felt drained me, you came to fill the missing part of my
life. As bad as things got with me, as soon as I stepped into the room you
were in, I instantly felt better. You led me back to being human again and I will
constantly thank you for that. You have so much effect on me Pete, you are
my breath and now, you are the center of my whole life and I wouldn't want to
ever let go of this hand" he paused and squeezed my hand tighter. Tears
were welling up in his eyes and so was mine. Hearing him say all this, my
heart was almost jumping out of my chest as it keeps pounding.

He smiled at me and continued. Pete, you have become the pillar of this
household and I think you do know that. You hold this family together and we
will want to keep it this way forever. Macau, Venice, and I see you as our
comfort place and we need you so much in our lives. We have been together
for two years and I finally decided it's time I did this" he paused and my
nervousness increased. What did he want to do?

He suddenly went down on one knee as he pulled something from his pocket,
with one hand still holding to mine. God, I was so nervous and couldn't
process what was happening in front of me now.

"Pete, it's finally time I asked you this. I need you in my life, Venice needs you,
and Macau needs you too. I want something that will officially bind us together
and so I want to ask you,

"Marry me, Pete." He said taking out a ring.

My legs almost gave out on me as I heard him ask me this. I was so surprised
that I didn't know how to react. I've been worrying about this for so long and
he asks me today. I didn't know when the tears welled up and started flowing.
It felt like a dream Vegas wanted me to marry him.

The bodyguards all suddenly went on one knee just like their boss had done.2

"We are ready to serve you, Khun Pete," they all said in unison. I looked at
what was happening and it didn't feel real.

I looked to my side and Macau mouthed, "please say yes."

Porsche nodded at me and Venice was jumping happily. I looked around me

and this family, I will never want to let go.
I turned my attention back to Vegas who was smiling wide at me, still holding
onto my hand. I finally decided.

"I will want nothing more than to be with you forever Vegas, now put the ring
on me already," I said, blushing all over.

Vegas screamed and slid the ring onto my finger.1

He got on his feet and carried me up. I wrapped my arms around his neck and
my legs around his waist, hugging him tightly.

"Was so nervous this past few days Pete" he said and I chuckled. I will get
back to that issue later.1

I was overjoyed and so was Vegas. Macau and Venice approached and
hugged us.

I love you all so much.

"So you had a hand in this too?" I asked Porsche who had a guilty look.

"I kind of helped a little because your man was stranded. You should have
seen how nervous he was Pete. I never thought a man like him will get that
way just because he wanted to propose" he replied as I walked him to the
door.

I shook my head in disbelief. "I'll see you later Pete, and congratulations to
you" he clapped me on the shoulder and headed off.
I walked back inside and honestly, I couldn't stop looking at the ring on my
finger. It's still like a dream to me. Everyone was so happy and the
atmosphere was so lively.

"Porsche left already?" Vegas asked pulling me to him. I hit him hard on the
hand.

"Don't you dare forget I have a score to settle with you Vegas? These few
days I was so worried I did something wrong to you and that was why you
were suddenly distant. Do you have to distance yourself because you wanted
to propose? So many relationships would have ended if everyone did what
you did" I scolded and he could only pout.

"I only wanted you to get a little tense Pete, am sorry and by the look of
things, I think I succeeded" he laughed.

"You idiot, you don't even regret your actions," I said as I chased him all over
the house just to kick his ass.

Macau and Venice watched us amused. Two grown adults acting like kids. It
is only Vegas who could rile me up to this extent.1

We finally stopped the chasing game and I looked at Vegas. "You are
sleeping on the couch tonight. That is your punishment and let me not hear
you complain."

He looked at me in disbelief. "Come on Pete, I just asked you to marry me and

you send me to sleep on the couch? We should be doing something more fun
this night right?" His eyes were full of mischief.

I held my hips as I listened to his silly talk. "Fine, if you don't want to sleep on
the couch, I'll change my decision then. You will sleep out of the room. You
should have accepted the first punishment while I was being lenient."
Vegas looked at me with pleading eyes but it's not like I will go easy on him
after the silly thing he pulled on me.

"And you Macau, don't you even think of letting him sleep in your room or
you'll get your share. You were in this together anyways" I warned before
leaving them.

It kind of felt good actually. I laughed so hard when I got inside our room. The
shock in Vegas' eyes just now was hilarious. He wouldn't mess with me again.
I should be thankful it was all for the proposal but I couldn't let him off on that
one. I needed his cuddles at night and his warmth too but he denied me all
that. I want him to have a taste of his own medicine.1

It was nighttime already and Vegas stood in the middle of the room like some
good boy. I knew what he was doing. "Pete, please let me sleep here at least,
I'll use the couch. I want to be close to you at least," he pleads.

I think am being too hard on him. "Okay, you can use the couch then" he
sighed in relief.

I put off the lights and went to bed. It was midnight and Vegas kept tossing on
the couch. I bet he couldn't sleep. Now he knows what it feels like to not have
that warmth with you. Am not an evil person though. He has suffered enough.

I quickly got off the bed and went to his side. His eyes opened immediately
after he felt my presence. "Can't sleep?" He asked concerned. "I made you
sleep here and you're still worried about me, you are very silly," I said running
my hands through his hair.

He brought his hand to my waist and pulled me in for a hug. "It was so difficult
sleeping away from you Pete, I know how you felt and I promise not to do it
ever again" he promised. I smiled and hugged him back.

"Let's go sleep on the bed" I tried getting up but he held me down. "Let's sleep
here Pete, we can both fit in here," he said mischievously.

He only says weird things. "Come on Vegas, we would have to squeeze in the
couch and it's not favorable" I cautioned but he didn't look like giving up the
idea.

"It's exactly why I asked us to sleep here" he winked.

I sighed and got in with him. He should suit himself. I put my head on his
chest and he wrapped his arms around me. It felt good.

"Pete" he called.

I lift my head and before I could say something, he connected our lips. The
kiss was slow and soft. I craved his lips so much that I didn't hesitate to kiss
him back. After what felt like hours, we finally pulled back, panting like we run
a marathon.

"Thanks for agreeing to marry me, Pete," he said caressing my face. "Am very
grateful you asked me Vegas, I've always hoped you'd ask" I replied and he
got up instantly.

"You hoped I'd ask?" He looked surprised.

"Well that's a story for another day" I replied and laid him back down on the
couch and covered us with the sheets.

We both drifted off to sleep in each other's arms.

Vegas

I woke up to someone poking my face. Nobody wakes me up this way, except

the little demon. I still kept my eyes closed and he began pulling my cheeks so
hard that I had to get up.

"Easy buddy, am already up," I said pouting at him but he just laughed feeling
proud of what he did to me.

I realized Pete wasn't in the room. Where could he be? I picked up Venice and
went to the bathroom to check but no sign of Pete. We headed downstairs
and still no sign of him.

"Have you seen your Pa?" I asked Venice and he nods.

Why didn't he tell me if he knew his whereabouts and watched me helplessly

search for Pete? This kid is unbelievable.

"Where did he go?" I asked and he frowned. "Uncle took him away" he replied
and I stopped in my tracks.
I brought my hand up to my temple. This cousin of mine is at it again. And this
time he came for Pete so early in the morning? What the hell is wrong with
everyone in that house? Words cannot describe how irritated I was right now.

Macau came downstairs and had a worried look as he saw me this way.

"I tried to stop Tankhun from taking him away but the guards he came along
with, stopped me. They acted like they were taking him away for good" Macau
finished and it fueled my anger.

"Did Pete go willingly? I asked and Macau sighed.

"That's the sad part bro. He refused to go with them but Tankhun ordered the
guards to carry him. They also obeyed and carried P'Pete like a sack of
potatoes and went away."2

"And where were the bodyguards when this happened? They couldn't stop it?"
I asked not believing my ears. "They tried stopping them but P'Pete ordered
them to step back, saying he will be back soon and so they all retreated. He
was no longer resisting the main family guards" Macau finished.

I sat down on the seat closest to me and tried not to snap as Venice was
already having a shocked expression seeing me this angry.

What at all do they want from me? This is now too much and this time, they
even carried him against his will. Do they want the devil in me to unleash
itself? Macau patted me on the shoulder, trying to calm me down.

I was still contemplating what to do next when I got a text. I pulled out my
phone to check. My eyes went wide at what I read.

Hello cousin, you are probably freaking out by now because Pete is not
with you right? Be informed it was an order to come for Pete and so we
hope you understand. We heard you proposed and that is good news
but you also need our permission. If you want him back, you know what
to do. But mind you, it's not going to be easy for you to take him away,
so come when you're ready Vegas!

P.S: Leave your anger at the minor family house before you get here.
You won't be allowed inside if we notice any form of anger in you.

I was too stunned to speak after what I just read. So this was their purpose all
along. Macau couldn't believe his eyes either. I should be asking permission
from his grandma and not the main family. They are all insane! I growled and
Venice flinched.

"Sorry buddy, I didn't mean to scare you" I patted him on the back.

Macau was quiet like he was thinking of something. "What are you thinking
about?" I asked curiously.

He sighed and spoke up. "Don't get angry at what am about to say bro, but I
think what they did is quite understandable. Pete has been with them for so
long and we know they love him like family. It's normal they play with you guys
like this. They just want to see if you're capable of taking Pete away." He
finished and I looked at him unbelievably.

"You mean I have to prove to them am capable? Those idiots!"

"Calm down bro, it's just a game people play all the time when one is getting
married. I'd advise you to stop being angry or as they said, they will not let you
in" he laughed.

I said nothing and headed back to our room with Venice still in my arms. I sat
him down to play as I kept myself in thought on what to do.
They have Pete and they demand my presence, I don't have much of a choice
now, right? I'd have to give in. I calmed down and was able to think straight.
After careful deliberation, I finally decided.

I came back out a while later and saw Macau still sitting where he was before
I left. I composed myself and spoke up.

"Gather all the bodyguards Macau."

Macau jumped up at the mention of bodyguards.

"Hold on bro, are we going to war or something? Trust me, that isn't a good
idea to get him back" he said worriedly.

I laughed at his silliness. "They want me to come to get him and that is exactly
what I am going to do.

"Gather everyone for a meeting" he hurried to do what I asked and in no time,

everyone was gathered. There were lots of them and that's exactly what I
needed.

They all stood, waiting for me to speak. And I wasted no time in doing so.

"The main family has taken away your future boss, my future bride and they
demand my presence to get him back. But I will need help from all of you
gathered here to achieve that. I have a few ideas in mind but I need your
contribution as well. I need you all in. Any crazy ideas you have, feel free to
bring them on board guys."

"Because tomorrow, we will show the main family how the minor family takes
away their bride."

The day went about just fine as everyone brought their contributions as I
asked. To think I wanted to discuss the wedding plans with Pete today and he
was taken away by some crazy family. It was supposed to be in two weeks.
Now they had to take Pete away as he belonged to them. I was engrossed in
the meeting with the guards when unexpected guests appeared.

"Grandma, Grandpa?"

I was surprised at the sight of them. I quickly hurried my way over to them.

I greet them respectfully but my shocked face was still there.

"Calm down and stop being so tense" grandma laughed.

"I am honestly out of words as this visit is quite unexpected" I replied and she
pulled me into a hug.

"We missed you guys and since you wouldn't bring our grandson over for a
visit, we decided to come ourselves" she pulled away. "Please come with me"
I ushered them to a more comfortable place and made sure they settled in.

Grandpa who had been scanning the house ever since he got here decided to
speak. "What's the occasion? It looks lively here."
I should tell them I guess. "We were just preparing to go bring Pete back from
the main family. He was taken against his will and they demand my presence
to get him back"

"What nonsense!" Grandma yelled. Why will they take him away against his
will? But wait a minute, is there any reason why they did that?" She frowned.

I suddenly got nervous. "Uhh...I asked Pete to marry me and that is why they
did that" this brought an excited expression to Grandma's face.

She took both my hands in hers. "That is an amazing son, we've been so
worried about that and that is the exact purpose of our visit" she finally spilled
the beans.

"It's been two years we've been together and I decided it was finally time to do
this so I asked him to marry me and he agreed. I also wanted to personally
come to ask for your permission and blessing but you beat me to it by coming
first" I said sincerely.

They both looked at me with fondness in their eyes and grandma spoke
up."Son, we've always loved Pete and ever since he introduced you to us,
we've come to love you too. We agreed you two should be together because
we saw how happy Pete was when he was with you. He got an amazing
family and I bet he wants to keep it forever. We are the ones sincerely grateful
to you for giving Pete this great happiness. Even the heavens wouldn't forgive
us if we don't give you both our blessings" she paused and tears were already
welling up in my eyes.

"Come here son" she opened her arms to me and I didn't hesitate to go into
her embrace. "You have our blessing and we wish you both will be happy all
your days" she hugged me tightly. "Thank you so much, grandma and
grandpa, I will always be the best to Pete and love him as long as I live" I
pulled back shyly, making them laugh.

"Pete should be here while we gave our blessing but he was taken away by
his old family? she sighed and continued, "didn't they know they were defying
the natural order? Arrangements for the wedding haven't been made and they
already took away the bride? Put any of them on the phone" she ordered and
that was my cue.

I placed a call to Porsche and just when he answered, Tanhkun snatched the
phone. I rolled my eyes at this. He has no idea what's coming.

"What is it Vegas? You can't talk to Pete" he said mockingly.

I ordered the bodyguards to halt whatever they were doing and they obeyed
without questions. We will continue this later. Everyone retired to their initial
duties.

I waited for some time and the main family car finally pull up. Pete came out
with Porsche behind. He hugged me as soon as I opened my arms to him. It's
just been hours and I missed him so much. Porsche was staring at us fondly.

"Thanks for bringing him back Porsche, and tell your people, they will soon
hear from me" he laughed and got in the car, driving off.

"Did they do anything to you? I asked checking him all over. "No Vegas, I had
thought it was everyone in the main house's idea but turns out Tankhun was
just having fun. Kinn didn't like what he did and ordered them to take me back
and that was the exact moment the call came" he sighed.

My cousin is still not used to me taking Pete away from him and I will do it a
hundred times if I have to. That cousin of mine is so unbearable. How do they
deal with him? I put every thought aside and took Pete to see his
grandparents.

The family reunion was a beautiful one as Pete wouldn't stop hugging his
grandma. Venice was now a grandma's pet as he refused to come to me even
when I asked. Macau was equally as excited.

hugging his grandma's side.

"And so it's settled. The wedding is two weeks from now" the quiet grandpa

"Vegas, could you stop this clinginess and focus on the issues at hand?
We've been like this for minutes and you are contributing nothing" Pete
scolded pushing me away from him.

Discussing the wedding plans was more hectic than I thought. I sighed and
focused on the issue at hand.

"First topic is about you escorting the bride," Pete said in an excited tone.

"You think escorting the bride is a good idea? Well, I have no problem in going
to the main family house to escort you in style and I don't mind going
extravagant just to prove to them you are not marrying just anybody, you are
marrying Vegas, the first son of the minor family" I smirked and Pete shot my
lasers.

"It has to be done, and I already talked about it with the main house and so
you have to make your preparations well because they are not going to go
easy on you" he warned.

Well, I get to put my initial plan into action. They want me to escort Pete and I
will do so in my style. They should wait for it.

Pete continued; "next is what to give as the wedding favor. I thought of us

giving out candies but I think people give that out most of the time so maybe
we should do something else "
"Customized Flip-flops" I suggested hastily and Pete raised a brow. "Since
we're having a beach wedding, I think that will be a very good wedding favor.
The guests might want to change into them when they want to get on the
dance floor and they could take them to their homes after." I finished and Pete
nodded continuously in excitement.

"You finally look like someone who's getting married, you are thinking quite
well" he teased. "Macau could take care of that aspect since he is so eager to
take up a task.

"We'll discuss the decorations for the venue later," Pete said poking his nose
with a pen. I just nodded my head in response. I wanted this to end already so
we could go do other stuff in bed.

"Let's move on to some other important matters" I got up on my feet as he

said this. "Come on Pete, are we not done already? We need a break huh,
please let's go do other stuff in bed, it's been a while.

He frowned and threw his notebook at me. "You can go marry someone else if
you're not ready to plan this with me till the end" he sounded pissed. I gave up
and sat back down.2

"What else do you want to discuss," I said tiredly.

"We have to decide on the MC and witness." I nodded in agreement. It's not
like I had a choice.

"I'll choose the MC and you get to choose the witness, deal? He asked
energetically. He's surprising me with this seriousness.

"Deal" I replied and he felt content.

I thought about whom to choose as the witness. Looking at the whole family,
who fits as a witness? I thought of Porsche but decided against it.
"What's your decision Vegas," Pete asked eagerly and I smirked at him,
knowing he will be shocked.

"I choose Kinn" he shot up instantly as he heard the name.

"Are you for real? How did you even come to choose him as a witness? You
two hardly see eye to eye" he sounded surprised.

"I think he is the best choice. I hate to admit but he is a person of good moral
standing and reputation, with high status as well. His aura is great too and that
makes him suitable for this" I finished and Pete clapped, shaking his head
unbelievably. I understand his reaction though. It's decided then, I'll talk with
him later.

"What about your choice for the MC?" I asked curiously as well.

He looked at me for what felt like forever and my curiosity doubled.

"I pick Tankhun," he said in a calm voice.

That name provoked a despicable expression on my face. So that is why he

hesitated before deciding to talk. "Do you want such a festive ceremony to be
hosted by someone who's always acting so extra? Are you not scared he is
going to host the wedding like it's a club?"1

"Listen Vegas, I think we should sway a bit from the normal. We need an MC
who is unique and with that mouth of his and also his style, he's sure going to
create a different atmosphere. Trust me."

I looked at him unbelievably and indeed I was shocked out of my mind he

even suggested him.

"I'll think about it," I said faintly.

"There is nothing to think about because it's already decided. Am giving him a
call" he picked up his phone and placed a call.

"Are you guys breaking up already? Tankhun asked as soon as he answered.

How could Pete even choose him as MC? Just look at what he just said. I
quickly snatched the phone from Pete. "There's no way we are breaking off
this marriage and as a matter of fact, we were making love before deciding to
call you to give you the honor of being the MC at our wedding. In as much as I
don't get along with you, am quite the generous type and so you should be
thanking me for giving you such a platform to display your talent"1

Tankhun was silent over the line for a long time and I was busily waiting for
his savage reply.

"Alright I'll be the MC, but am only doing it because of Pete" he hung up after.

I was amazed that's all he had to say.

"We're settled now then," Pete said, pulling me over to the bed.

"I want you to be the witness," Vegas said to Kinn who had a shocked
expression. Not in million years had he thought Vegas will ask him something
like this? Kinn was too stunned to speak and kept staring at Vegas.

"Why do you want me as the witness? We don't even get along much." Kinn
couldn't help but ask. Vegas exhaled a deep breath. "Look Kinn, I think you
are the best person for this. I had other options, but you were the best fit and
so please accept it"

After careful consideration, Kinn finally made a decision. "I'll accept but don't
regret it later Vegas" he warned and both men parted ways.

That night before escorting the 'bride' out of the main family house, Vegas and
Pete had already separated. Vegas remained in the minor family house as
Pete left for the main family so early in the morning.

Pete was clueless as Vegas kept the method of 'escorting' from him. There
was nervousness and thrill as well. That night was sleepless without a doubt
as he slept in Tankhun's room. He was worried about what Vegas had up his
sleeve. He didn't know what to expect. Thinking back to how silly he could be
at times.

I just hope you don't argue with anyone when you get here...Pete finally drifted
off to sleep.

In the early morning of seven o'clock, he was awakened by the stylist.

"It's about time we dress you up, the minor family should be here soon."

Pete sat up, he has never been so nervous his entire life as he was today.
As for Vegas, he did not sleep the entire night as he stayed awake with all his
bodyguards and Macau, preparing all they needed. Venice was the only one
who had enough sleep in the whole household. Even with that, he slept past
midnight.

Vegas took it upon himself to adorn Venice in beautiful flowery clothes he had
bought him a few days ago. Looking at the kid, he looked stunning and Vegas
couldn't take his eyes off him.

"It's time to go get your dad," Vegas said to Venice who jumped up excitedly.

Vegas himself was looking elegant as he got himself into a luxury button-up
Italian silk shirt. The group of bodyguards was all in fitted black suits. There
was elegance everywhere.

Macau looked at his watch and it was 10 AM.

"Should we set off now?"

Vegas took a deep breath and waved his hand aggressively. "Am very much
ready."

Vegas cleared his throat and looked around him. His expression managed to
retain a serious atmosphere.

"Today, we are going over to the main house to get your future boss, my
future bride back to the minor family house. Pete has been with them for so
long and he's like family to them therefore, they deem it necessary for me to
escort him out of there. I need all of you behind me to help me escort our
beautiful bride back home. Can you all help me bring back my future bride?"

With the command, the 60 bodyguards responded in unison.

"Yes, we can."
Vegas brought out a loudspeaker and asked them again as loud as he could.

"Are you all ready to do this?"3

Everyone responded loud and clear.

"Yes, we are."

"Let's get going" Vegas commanded and everyone made their way to their
respective rides.

There were two Choppers parked which will be used by Vegas, Macau, and
Venice. The three made their way over. Macau and Venice got in theirs and
Vegas hopped in his. Vegas sat in, ready for takeoff as he watched the
bodyguards get in the luxurious cars. He smiled with satisfaction as he felt
proud of himself.1

With that kind of fleet creating such a battle formation on the road and in the
sky, the spectacular display got everyone talking in the streets. People
gasped in amazement as they watched what was going on, wishing they were
in the bride's shoes. It was quite a romantic sight to behold.

Back at the main house, Pete and all the members of the main family were
eagerly waiting for the minor family's arrival since 8 am. They were waiting for
just about three cars to pull up with Vegas leading them. They waited for what
felt like forever but there was still no sign of them. It was now 10 am.

"I hope they already left, otherwise they will be caught in traffic. Pete looked at
this watch and sighed.

While still in thought, he suddenly heard a chopping and intense rumbling

sound. Hearing that, Pete quickly made his way outside and he was stunned
by the sight before him. Vegas was in a chopper up in the air. It wasn't just
one but two. Everyone from the main family was out beholding the sight as
they couldn't believe their eyes. Tankhun had been at the main entrance
waiting to give Vegas a hard time before letting him in but little did they all
know he was going to come in the air.

As if the two choppers in the sky didn't give them enough shock, 30 luxurious
fleets of cars begin to make their way in, one after the other.

"This is insane!" Porchay screamed as he couldn't believe his eyes.2

Everyone looked unbelievably as the cars lined up and made their way in. It
was magnificent and none of them had thought Vegas was going to go this
big. They underestimated what he could do.

Pete was touched as he watched the scene play before him. He did not
expect Vegas to do something this magnificent. He watched as both the
choppers hovered in the air.
Kinn who finally found his voice after being stunned for minutes finally spoke. "
Everyone, don't be deceived by their dramatic appearance, we are not giving
Pete away easily."

"He has no idea what coming," Tankhun said pointing at Vegas.

"Wow..." Pete still couldn't believe this.

Everyone still looking at the two choppers hovering around in the air, they
were beginning to wonder when they were going to land.

They finally suspended 20 meters to the ground and suddenly let down a
banner on the sides of the two choppers and everyone went wide-eyed.

Vegas' side displayed; I love you, Pete.

While Macau and Venice's side displayed; We love you too.

Pete was almost in tears as he saw the display. He felt so loved by his family.

Another was let down only on Vegas' side and this time it displayed again;

I promise to be the best husband to you, Pete.

Suddenly, a third chopper came out of nowhere, releasing an insane amount

of balloons into the sky in Pete's favorite color blue. A banner was let down on
the side displaying:

Seeing this touched Pete to no end as it was the first time Vegas has put on a
display for him.

The choppers descended evenly, landing on the two helipads. The third one
flew away immediately after the display.
Macau got down with Venice in his arms, holding 99 roses alongside. They
made their way over to Pete.
"P'Pete, this flower for you" Macau handed it over to a stunned Pete.

The bodyguards immediately got out of their cars, and ten of them moved
toward Vegas. They got to their boss and separated equally on either side of
him. Vegas who was now in the middle, with one single rose in his hand,
slowly walked towards the group in a dignified manner.

Finally getting closer, he stopped in front of Pete and handed him the 100th
rose with a smile on his face.

Pete was still emotionally touched and had yet to return to his senses when
he was dragged back inside by the main family guards on Kinn's command.
Immediately after, another ten gathered at the door, preventing Vegas from
getting inside.

"We have seen your grand entrance and display Vegas, but that doesn't mean
you are eligible to take Pete away," he said to Vegas who couldn't believe
they took his man inside.

"We know you are from the mafia family and this display, you could afford but
are you fit to be with Pete? You have to prove that to us" Kim spoke out of the
blue.

"You think doing all this will make us give him away easily? You have to face
me Vegas" the loud Tankhun said and Vegas wished he could block his ears.1

Pete wanted to say something as he tried to get out but he was stopped and
that made him give up.

"Answer five questions and we'll let you through Vegas," Porsche said
mischievously.
Vegas stared at everyone with an amused expression. He pinched the bridge
of his nose and spoke up.

"Fine, I will answer all your questions but if you do not give me Pete afterward,
am burning this place down.

"What's Pete's blood type?" Kim was the first to ask.

Vegas was amused by the question. Is this a question they were supposed to
ask him? They were real jokes.

"O" he replied confidently.

Pete suddenly laughed so hard that everyone thought something was wrong
with him. He found it hilarious they asked Vegas this question. Vegas knew
him so well this was too easy.

"Shut up Pete, this is just warm up" Tankhun yelled.

Porsche looked at Vegas and raised a brow. He knew Vegas was not going to
get his question right.

"What did Pete eat this morning? Don't tell us he ate plain Curry and rice
because we don't have that here" Porsche said amusingly.

Everyone knew Vegas was going to fail this one. There was no way he could
figure out what Pete had eaten today as he wasn't present. They were all
feeling victorious.

Pete was worried as he knew Vegas wouldn't get this right. He was nervous.

Vegas chuckled as he stared at everyone. They were underestimating what

he could do.
"He ate nothing."

Porsche gasped at the reply. How could Vegas get this right? This is insane.
Pete refused to eat this morning. Everyone was amazed.

Pete smiled as Vegas got it right. He felt proud.

"How did you know this? Porsche asked still surprised.

Vegas sighed and replied. "I know Pete all too well. He refuses to eat
whenever he felt nervous about something. And my coming here today got
him nervous and so he did not eat anything."

Everyone's respect for Vegas increased.

"What was the first thing you bought for Pete that he didn't like? It was
from two years ago"

Pete has personally told this to Porsche as they got some of the questions
from him.

This question got Vegas thinking a bit as he has bought Pete so many things
over the last two years. How could he get this one?

Pete who was still surrounded was hoping Vegas will remember this. It was
from the time he held him captive. But he had doubts Vegas would remember.
Two years is a very long time.

After thinking for minutes he finally answered.

"I remember getting Pete some books and he told me he didn't like them
because he hates to read. The books were; The light that guides your
life, How to live a happy life, and she loves him but I love her."

Pete screamed a 'yes' as he heard Vegas answer the question correctly. He

was full of excitement. Vegas was indeed Vegas.
Vegas just surprised everyone again with his detailed answer.

"What was the first movie you watched with Pete? That's also from two
years ago.

This was Tankhun's question.

Vegas was amused as there was no way he could get this wrong.

"We watched mama Coco on our first movie night"

Everyone clapped but Vegas wanted to play with Pete.

"I could tell you all that the movie night turned into." He said and everyone
was eager to know what happened.

Pete upon hearing this got nervous. "Vegas I'll kill you if you say any
nonsense" he yelled and Vegas laughed so hard. That night was fun and
there was no way Vegas could forget that.3

"Calm down Pete, that's our little secret" Vegas assured and Pete finally
calmed down.

"Now the last question Vegas." It was finally Kinn's turn.

"Aside from the time of your unfortunate incident, when again has Pete
ever felt scared of anything that has to do with you?

"He already told me the answer so think carefully as this is your last
question."

Vegas was deep in thought but this wasn't a difficult thing to crack.

"That will be our visit to his grandparents in Chumphon. Pete feared I

will be uncomfortable. He was afraid I will be in trouble, afraid that I
wouldn't be able to eat any of their food there as they were all spicy. He
was afraid his grandma wouldn't like me. And he was afraid I wouldn't
love him anymore."

Vegas finished and everyone was looking at him with fondness. There was a
trace of sadness in his voice and not everyone picked up on it. The
atmosphere suddenly turned emotional.

Tears flowed down Pete's eyes as he listened to Vegas. He was so scared at

that time and Vegas saw him be silly.

Vegas sighed and continued speaking.

"Pete, you were so silly back then. I told you I can never stop loving you
even if your house was chaotic and I had to climb mountains to get
there. Even if I couldn't eat the spicy food in your house, if your
grandparents didn't like me, there was no way I would stop loving you. I
will adjust to everything, I will do whatever it takes to be with you. Even
if I don't have an omelet today, I will still eat the spicy food, I can do it,
as long as I have you.

"These were my words to you that day Pete." Vegas wiped a tear from his
eye.

Everyone was quiet as they heard the words from Vegas. They had wanted to
give him a hard time but looking at what just happened, he was really in love
with Pete and no one could ever make Pete happy but him.

Pete tried so much to control his tears from falling but he failed. He knew from
the depth of his heart that Vegas loved him but had no idea whether Vegas
would recall everything word for word. He was one lucky guy to have Vegas.

Kinn commanded the guards to let Pete out as Vegas had exceeded their
expectations.
Everyone moved out of the way but Pete failed to move. Everyone was
surprised at the action. Wondering why Pete refused to come out.

"Why are you still in there Pete" Vegas asked confused.

"You answered their questions but try to bring me out yourself" Pete answered
and laughed.

Vegas was amused at Pete's words. "Is this how you are going to play? Fine."

"Macau, Venice, come here" Vegas waved them over and they walked to his
side.

Vegas took Venice from Macau and whispered something in his ear.

"Will you remember what I told you, buddy?"

Venice nodded in response and Vegas kissed him.

Vegas wink at Macau and he also nodded, understanding what the action
meant.

"P'Pete" Macau called out loud. "You have been such an amazing guardian
and I love you so much, do you seriously think I can live without you? please
come out now so we could take you home already."

Vegas signaled a gigging Venice. "Pa! He screamed. "I love you too and you
said you will take me out for ice cream. Why are you hiding?"

Everyone laughed so hard at the child's cuteness. Pete couldn't help laughing
either. He was enjoying their little drama.

"Come on Pete, can't you see how much we all love you? I love you so much
Pete, so please come out" Vegas pleads.

Pete was not willing to come out and Vegas decided to use his last resolve.
"Am counting to three Pete, if you don't come out, you'll regret it.3

"One...two...

"What the hell Vegas, am coming out" Pete quickly made his way out before
the count got to three. He had always been scared of the counts.1

Vegas pulled him in for a kiss and everyone kept telling them to get a room.

"We officially hand Pete over to you Vegas, I believe you'll take good care of
him," Kinn said honestly.

"Since you've officially given him to me, let no one from this family, call him
here without my permission" Vegas glares at Tankhun who rolled his eyes at
him.

Vegas took his family and headed towards the chopper. The bodyguards also
entered the cars, ready to head home.

"See you all in two days at the wedding," Pete said loudly as the craft was
taking off.

"You went so big Vegas, I hope we still have some money left to spend after
the wedding." Pete teased.

"I still have lots of money to take care of you forever" Vegas pulled Pete close
to him and connected their lips into a long and intense kiss...

At 4 pm, all the guests begin to pour into the venue, one after the other. The
beach was beautifully decorated and they were so many seats available to
accommodate about 800 people. Apart from the massive crowd from the
major and minor family sides, respective friends and relatives were also
present. There were guests from Chumphon. Everyone from Pete's island
came along with Pete's grandparents to grace the wonderful occasion. There
were also some uninvited public figures and the crowd was massive. There
were also business partners of both the major and minor family present. Some
organizations that have received donations from both families also came with
the pretext of supporting the couple. Everyone wanted to be a part of the
Mafia family's wedding.

The venue was beautifully decorated with the stage in the center, and the
guests around made the place lively and satisfying.

Meanwhile, Macau and Porchay were sitting at their designated posts carrying
out the duty of collecting monetary gifts. As the number of guests increased
the more their workload increased. Porchay took the gifts and Macau checked
the amount if it was money. Going to a wedding without giving any gifts could
be embarrassing sometimes and so everyone came alone with something,
making the work tedious for both boys. They also gave out wedding favors at
the same time.

Kinn and Porsche arrived together with Venice and a couple of bodyguards.
Venice insisted on going with Kinn who visited the previous night and Vegas
had no choice but to allow him to do what he wanted.

When Macau saw them, he greeted them with a mischievous smile.

"The rich couple is finally here." He said kissing a giggling Venice in Kinn's
arms.

"If I had known you two were in charge, I would have changed the larger bills
to singles." Kinn teased, making Porsche elbow him on the side.

Kinn handed them a black card and the kids gasped at the amount he
mentioned to be taken from it.

"You are indeed a rich Mafia," Macau said still shocked.

"How about you? There is no food for you if you don't bring your gift" Porchay
pointed to his brother who shot him glares.

"We gave the money as a couple," Porsche said and Kinn nodded in
agreement.

Tankhun made his grand appearance at the venue with tons of bodyguards
following him. He adorned himself in a colorful outfit that could blind you just
by staring once. He was in his usual dramatic outfit, and it was a bright orange
color. He paid no attention to the numerous eyes staring at him and gave his
gift and walked away without a word. Macau was too stunned to speak.

Guests kept arriving and by six in the evening, the whole place was packed
with guests. The band started to play out a series of impersonated music and
the spotlights from the light show, swept across everyone, dazzling
magnificently for a few minutes for everyone to feast their eyes.

Soon, the fleet of cars pulled up and they were about thirty. Everyone was
eager to see the couple and they all looked in excitement. Waiting for the
couples to come out, bodyguards were the ones making their way out in black
fitted suits. Everyone's face dropped as they didn't see the couple. They were
all beginning to wonder when they were going to arrive. The bodyguards
moved uniformly and arranged themselves in line. They stood there like they
were waiting on someone. Indeed they were waiting but the couple was
nowhere to be seen.

The music softened gradually, as the lights became increasingly blurry before
the huge screen on the massive stage started to display the documentary of
the two's love story. It was heartfelt.

From knowing each other to being separated in life and death and finally
reuniting again. Their occasional fights and their undying love for each other.
Every one of the guests felt touched by the fifteen minutes displays and
massive applause came as everyone admired their love.

Hearing his descriptions, all the guests burst into uncontrollable laugher

"But all this being said, he continued, they both have their strong points

Tankhun who made everyone laugh was the same person who made
everyone emotional again with his heartfelt speech. This time, he had spoken
the words from the bottom of his heart.

Spotlights drifted to Kinn who got up with a wide smile and made his elegantly
to the stage to take over. He finally stood before the couple.

He earned splendid applause that went on endlessly.

words. We've shared everything, and told each other our innermost
feelings over and over. We knew we were right for each other and today,
the words I want to say o you is that I love you so much Vegas."

These words alone sent happiness all around.

Vegas buried his face in his palms as he couldn't control the tears threatening
to fall and tried to hide them.

"Why are you crying huh, so shameless" Tankhun scolded.

Vegas composed himself and finally lifted his head to look at Pete.

"You came into my life and made me into a better person. Who wouldn't
want an amazing person like you in their lives? Am one lucky guy
because I just hit the jackpot. I love you too Pete." He finally let out.

The night was naturally colored bright, the moon reflecting into the windows,
leaving translucent shadows on the floor.

The lights in the room had all been turned off, leaving only the colored candle
to illuminate. In the warm and cozy candlelight, where we lay under the
blankets, locking fingers together.

We forgot we had company until Tankhun clears his throat.

"Why do I feel so left out?" Pete said with a pout as he got closer to us. He

"Pete is also like that with him, great," Tankhun said again in a mischievous
tone.

"Looks like am always missing out on every family reunion. Am getting hurt
now." Macau suddenly appeared making a sad face.

He got closer and it was his turn to kiss Venice Tankhun has had enough of
this family.

"I better head back to the main house. This place is filled with too much
cuteness and I might puke." He jokingly said and disappeared.
We were indeed one lucky family and I couldn't ask for more. Just having the
three most important persons in my life, am content.

Standing in the center of the room, was Pete. He decided to clean Vegas'
study and stumbled upon an old diary. He had been pacing around the room
for thirty minutes, contemplating whether to touch it or not.

"I want to see what's in there."

"But it's quite rude to touch other's stuff. He's my husband, right? There's
nothing wrong if I see what's inside."

He kept pacing the room and mumbling to himself.

After coming to a decision, he picked up the diary. Vegas was away on a

business trip to China and there was no way he was going to find out about
this.

Pete sat on the chair a proceeded to open the diary. He flipped the first page
and his curiosity spiked up. He begins to read.

What is love?

I have no idea what it is because I never had any show or teach me what
it was. I didn't even believe in the word. It was useless to me.

Deep down I knew my soul was corrupted by evil. I was a monster and I
knew this fact. I could hurt anyone and anything without feeling any
remorse. Why was I like this? No one wanted me, even my father never
wanted me.

Now I have Pete in my room, on my bed, and in chains. I loved his

heart.

He finally succeeds and he became my breath. I needed him to function

properly. I couldn't imagine him away from me.
I knew he wanted to go back to the main family house but could I live
without him? I could die if I don't have him by my side. What have you
don't to me, Pete?

I selfishly wanted to keep him by my side and couldn't let him out of the
chains. I wouldn't have anyone to love me anymore if he left.

I have no words to describe the pain I'm feeling right now. Pete left me
and I feel like I'm dying. My heart is painfully constricting in my chest as
tears keep rolling down my eyes. I was weeping uncontrollably.

badly and it was understandable he left me.

The boy didn't like me for no apparent reason.

without thinking twice.

For me love means comfort. Feeling comfortable and free to be myself,

to not look my best all the time, to be goofy around him as if I’m alone. I
don't need to fake anything when I'm around him.

Love is not about compromising, it’s about accepting each other as we

are no matter how different we may be. I think that the more smooth we
make each other’s lives, the deeper we fall in love.

I could go on and on but I decided to end my writing in this diary here. I

have the three most important persons in my life right now and nothing
makes me happier.

Pete sniffed while closing the diary. He was so touched by what he had just
read. He couldn't believe Vegas of all people could be keeping a diary. He
was greatly touched.

He leaned on the couch, lost in thought when the door click open and Venice
entered. His eyes widened when he saw his Pa in tears and quickly run to
him.

"Pa," why are you crying? Did anyone hurt you?" Eight-year-old Venice
worriedly asked.

He brought his hand to Pete's eyes to gently wipe away the tears. "Did daddy
do anything to you?"

Peter enveloped the boy in a tight hug, not wanting to let go of him. "I love
you, babe." He whispered.

"I love you too, Pa but you still haven't told me why you're crying."

"Uhm...it's nothing. I just miss your daddy so much. You miss him too right?"

Venice pulled away from the hug and scanned Pete's face curiously. "I knew
you miss him. I'll go call him right now." Venice quickly run out of the room
before his Pa could stop him.

"Come back here, Venice." The boy only giggled away without minding Pete.

Venice hurried to his room and picked up the phone, placing a call to Vegas.

"Hey, buddy. Miss me?" Vegas teased.

"Daddy, could you hurry back already?"

"I'll be back in two days."

Venice sighed. "Pa misses you so much. He's really sad and I don't like it." He
pouts.

Pete entered the room and picked Venice off the floor. "You little brat had to
call your daddy, huh?" He starts tickling Venice and the boy was laughing
hard. He hated this. Pete after having his fill finally let's go.

"Venice told me you were sad," Vegas says after Pete took the phone.

"I miss you, Vegas. Please hurry back already." Pete says in a hoarse voice
and Vegas picked up on It.

"It'll be back in two days and I also have a surprise for you."

"Surprise? I can't wait to see you now." Pete states excitedly.

"You're finally smiling now, Pa." Venice placed a hard kiss on Pete's forehead.
