Guide to making TM links using manual extraction Tool

Prerequisites:

- iPhone
- windows computer.
- Both on same network.

Some theory:

Ticketmaster uses a technology to check if your device is real before it gives you a
rotating token (called Safetix). Because we're not using real devices, we can't
create links for some events.

This guide will show you how to use your own phone as a real device. You'll set up
something called a Proxy Server, which will catch (intercept) any requests going
to and from your iPhone. Then, you'll learn how to filter those requests and find
the responses that include the Safetix token, which you can use to create your link.

The steps are a fairly complex, so please follow along carefully and you will be set.

Device Binding: (keep this info in mind for later)

1- Device binding is how Ticketmaster checks if the app is being opened on a

real phone. To pass this check when logging into a Ticketmaster account for
the first time, you shouldn't be connected to the proxy server.
2- To make this easy, we'll use Wi-Fi to connect to the proxy server and switch
to cellular data (your phone's mobile network) when you need to bind the
account. This way, you can do things faster.
3- Another option is to turn off the proxy server, bind the account, and then
turn the proxy back on, but that takes more time. Both methods work.
How to get started:

1) Downloading HTTP Toolkit:

Visit this website:
[Link]
Then click the download button:

Once downloaded, install HTTP toolkit and open it, you should see this screen:
Click on the button that says (Anything), and you should see this popup:

Finally click on “export CA Certificate” and save the certificate on your computer
2) Installing the certificate on iPhone:
Copy the certificate from your computer to your iPhone device so you can install it there. You can send it
via email and download it on your iPhone. Or you can use your preferred method to move it from PC to
phone.

Once you download it (In my case I downloaded through Email) follow the next steps:
1- Head to settings->general->vpn and device management and click VPN & Device
Management

2- Click on HTTP Toolkit Ca (the downloaded profile)

3- Now click on install in the top right

4- It will prompt you to enter the phone passcode and then will show this screen, click install again
on the top right followed immediately by a red install button on the bottom.

It will say profile installed. You can click done on the top right
Once installed, go to settings -> general -> about and scroll all the way to the bottom and there will be a
button “certificate trust settings”

5- Click it then toggle the HTTP Toolkit CA ON. It should turn green
3) Getting your local IP address:
Now you need to first make sure that your PC and Iphone are both on the same WIFI network. Then
on your PC open the start menu and type: “cmd”

Then click on the Command Prompt to open it.

Once it opens, type: “ipconfig” and press enter.

Now look for the WIFI network and look for the IPv4 address record. In my case it is [Link]
4) Configuring the Proxy on iPhone:
1- Head to your WIFI Settings

2- Scroll down and click on Configure Proxy

3- Choose Manual and type in your PC IP address (that we got from the previous step) and in the
port, type 8000
5) Load your Ticketmaster APP and login to your account, then click on my events:
In this step, if it’s your first time to login to the account from this device, please disconnect from WIFI
(proxy) and turn on Cellular network
(if it’s the first login to this account from this device, connect to your cellular network while doing
this step) If you don’t have cellular network, you can just disable the proxy settings then enable
back once this step is done

5) Then click on the event, and load the tickets until you see the moving barcode.

5) Once you see the moving barcode, CLOSE THE Ticketmaster App COMPLETELY (if it’s the first
time to login to this account from this device)
6) If you closed the ticketmaster app, please connect back to WIFI network and reopen the
ticketmaster app) Then load the event again:

You don’t have to switch to cellular network if you have logged in previously to
this account on this device. And you don’t have to close TM app and reopen if you
have logged in previously to this account on this device.
This process is called: Device binding
7) Now head back to your computer, and open the HTTP toolkit and click view, and in the filter bar, type:
deviceKeySignature

You will find that a one or more rows will popup (each row corresponds to one event opened). Whenever
you load an event on your phone, a new row will show.
Now click on the row that showed then scroll down on the right side and look for the Response Body
section, select it all and copy it

Next login to [Link] and head to [Link]

Then paste in the Response Body you just copied. And you will be able to make your links easily by
checking the checkboxes and clicking generate link.
Notes:
- You don’t have to do most of the steps we mentioned every time, like
installing the certificate is mostly done once if you are not going to use on
another PC (as long as you didn’t turn off the http toolkit).
- When you are doing step #5 (logging in to ticketmaster and loading the
event) Please make sure to disable the interception (either by turning OFF
WIFI and using cellular) Or by toggling the proxy OFF. And you can
toggle it ON again before step #6 after you close the TM app.

- Technically this step is only needed if it’s your first time to login to this
account, but if you logged in before to this account you don’t have to do step
#5 at all and you can do it quicker.

Advice:
- Please avoid logging into the same account on multiple iPhones. Once
you've logged into an account on a device, continue using that device to
access the account. This will help prevent future issues that may arise
from logging in on multiple devices, as Ticketmaster may block SafeTix
if the account is accessed from five different devices.
