Minimum Educational Qualification -
• A Bachelor's Degree or a Post-Graduate Degree from a recognized agricultural university.
Duties & Responsibilities-
1. Implement the Farmer Field School (Sheti-Shala) component as per the project guidelines.
2. Cooperate with the Assistant Agricultural Officer and Deputy Agricultural Officer in
implementing university trials, demonstrations, and mini-kit distribution to convince farmers of
the importance of modern technology.
3. Assist in the selection of beneficiaries for farmer gatherings (melave), farmer training classes,
farmer excursions, seminars, agricultural exhibitions, etc., for the propagation and dissemination
of agricultural technology.
4. Continuously visit farmers who have adopted climate-resilient technology, register them in the
project's app, and assist them with the Mahavistar App and Farmer App.
5. Cooperate with the Krishi Tai (Female Agricultural Facilitator) to maximize the participation of
women in the Farmer Field School.
6. Motivate female farmer groups and other women farmers in every project village to attend the
Digital Farmer Field School and maintain coordination with those groups with the assistance of
the Krishi Tai.
7. Increase women's participation in the benefits provided through the project.
8. Maintain records of farmer groups at the village level, stay in touch with them to provide early
warning of pests and diseases, and submit an immediate report to superiors regarding any pest and
disease infestation, within a maximum of 24 hours.
9. Link soil and water conservation works with agricultural production and guide farmers on
cropping patterns accordingly. To promote and disseminate climate-resilient cropping patterns in
the area of operation.
10. Promote and publicize the project's components in the project villages.
11. Organize the meeting of the Village Agriculture Development Committee (Gram Krishi Vikas
Samiti) in project villages with the consent of the Sarpanch.
12. Verify the documents of farmers who have applied for project benefits.
13. Complete the Micro-Level Planning (MLP) process and update the plans.
14. Remain in contact with village Self-Help Groups (SHGs)/Farmer Groups and motivate them to
avail benefits for agri-business from the project.
15. Collect necessary information about the crops being taken based on the geographical conditions
and climate of the area of operation.
16. Deliver climate-based agricultural advisories to farmers.
17. Submit received suggestions and complaints at the village level to the Gram Krishi Vikas Samiti
and carry out the Social Audit process.
18. Mandatory use of the digital systems developed by the project is required; accordingly, complete
responsibilities at various levels.
19. Visit the farms of Guest Farmers registered in the Farmer Field School and record the adoption of
technology in the project's app.
20. Perform the responsibilities assigned by the Taluka Agricultural Officer (as the Nodal Officer)
and the Project Management Unit (PMU).
