How to stuff amigurumi

1. It gives a better finish if you stuff your amigurumi as late as possible. This will often only leave a
small hole to insert your stuffing through 2. Use the end of your crochet hook, tweezers or
something similar to help you insert the stuffing 3. Neatly stuffed amigurumi.

Pattern Notes
Final Round
In this patterns I have chosen to make the final round Single Crochet rather than Decrease as you
may be more familiar with. I feel it is easier to stuff your amigurumi after you have finished the final
round, which you are able to do using this technique. It also leaves you with a cleaner finish and a
better shape once it’s closed.

However, if you are more comfortable making your final round decreases then please go ahead, just
remember to stuff your amigurumi first!

Safety Eyes
As this piece is quite small I decided to use black beads for eyes instead of safety eyes. As you can
sew the beads on after your piece is finished the instructions for eye placement is at the end of the
pattern.

If you chose to use traditional safety eyes please remember to insert these before you stuff and
close your amigurumi.

Yarn and Hook

I have recommended using Double Knit cotton yarn and a 2.5mm hook. However, this pattern would
work well in any size yarn just remember to use the correct sized hook. Please note Double Knit is
the equivalent of 8ply or light worsted weight yarn.
