Within the Bricelli textiles company, there is a difficulty regarding the

inspections that must be performed on finished garments after making
some finishing (such as topstitching of sleeves, shoulders, pockets, closures, etc.), what
leads to customer complaints and product returns.

This proposal aims to improve the work method in the

making sports jackets, the first thing is to implement the process of
inspection, the topstitching of shoulders, sleeves, pocket and the improvement in the finish of

the garment.

The activities proposed for this are the following:

 6.1 NEW WORK METHOD

DEVELOPMENT OF THE IDEAL METHOD

8. COST-BENEFIT ANALYSIS OF THE RESEARCH

improve their processes, times, service and quality, thus achieving more sales.

 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

CONCLUSIONS

In the making of the sports jacket, it is proposed to reduce the time of

the timing from 20 to 10 minutes, the bagging of the pocket from 15 to 6 minutes
shoulder union from 7 to 5 minutes, sticking the diver tape on the
mangas from 6 to 4 minutes and the neck attachment from 6 to 4 minutes.
The total process of making the house and the lining has been reduced from 4
hours and 12 minutes to just 4 hours from making the pattern and
select the fabric up to the bagging.
The labor cost for the sports jacket has decreased from
S/.15.50 soles to S/.12.00 soles.
The inspection and quality control process was implemented at the end of
the making of the jacket and before bagging to avoid errors and
customer complaints.

RECOMMENDATIONS

This proposal is made with the intention of providing an improvement.

to improve processes and reduce costs.
