I will describe in detail and in an orderly manner how they are

people, places, objects, animals, require: first, observe (focus attention on what
let's describe: shape, size, colors, virtues, etc.).
Then, select the most important details and finally, organize the ideas:
describe first what is on the left or on the right, what is above or below or,
opposite. When we describe, we must be clear and precise, for example: my right eye
It is inflamed and red like a tomato.
Now I invite you to carefully read the steps to create a description.

• One must observe very carefully and select the most important details.
• Afterselecting the details, the data must be organized in a certain order:
From the general to the particular or vice versa.
From the foreground to the background or vice versa.
Inside out or vice versa.
From left to right or the other way around.
• When describing, it is necessary to position the objects in space with precision. They will be used.

There are several ways to describe a person. Depending on the traits that are described, they receive different

Caricature people present themselves in an exaggerated manner, accentuating the flaws.

Who paints, uses colors. Who describes, uses words.

give it to him. When he asks his mom for help, she tells him to describe it so she can know if it

doctor in which it has not been set.

Compare the following descriptions or descriptive texts:

The Moon is the only natural satellite of the Earth and the only body of
solar system that we can see in detail with the naked eye. The Moon reflects
the sunlight differently and orbits around the Earth and on its
axis in the same period: 27 days, 7 hours, and 43 minutes. This means that
always shows us the same face.

The moon is yawning, the goblins guard their dreams.

Usan pijamas a rayas y gorros rojos pequeños
And a little cricket sings them a song, gives them a kiss
and moon mooner sleeps on a mattress of stars.

¿En qué se parecen estos dos textos? ¿En qué son diferentes?, escribe en
your notebook the answers.

As you can see, there are two main types of description. The scientific description
express in concrete terms the characteristics of what is described. It is objective, precise.
literary description not only focuses on the form and properties of what is described,
except in aesthetics and the author seeks to sensitize the reader. There are also classes of
descriptions according to what is described: animals, people, landscapes, objects. If
we describe people we find:

Prosopography: describes the traits and physical characteristics.

Etopeya: describe the moral and psychological traits.
Portrait: it is when prosopography and ethopoeia are combined.
Self-portrait: it is when the same person makes their own portrait (describes themselves).
Caricature: it is when the physical or moral traits of a person are exaggerated or ironized.
If we describe landscapes, we make topographies.

Right now you will have fun while putting into practice what
learned previously.
