Passage 2 – The Dying Island

Years later, the coconut trees stopped growing and the fishermen caught no
fish. Grandmother Tala said the island was dying because someone stole the
Heart of Te Fiti long ago. Only returning the heart could save everything. Tala
told Moana, “You are the chosen one. The ocean picked you!” Moana wanted
to help, but her father said no. That night, Tala became very sick.

in a cave! But the ocean threw her back and made Maui take her on the
journey. They also brought a silly chicken named Heihei.
