Report Specifications:
I. Ensure Report Specifications:

a. Letters (A-Z or a-z).
b. Numbers (0-9).
c. Dashes (-).

a. Convert the RTF file to .docx using Microsoft Word or an online tool.
b. Save the document in .docx format.

rows in the resulting excel sheet has to match number of pages from the HAP
report.

MACHINE SELECTION TOOL
I. Interface Overview:
1. Load Machine Library: Button to load the Excel file containing machine
specifications.
2. Download Machine Library: Button to download the machine library if you
don't have one.
3. Settings: Button to set default selection criteria.
a. Select Excel File: Button to choose your data file from HAP extractor
tool.
b. Start Selection Process: Button to run the selection algorithm based
on your criteria and data.

II. Step-by-Step Usage:
1. Load Machine Library: Click on "Load Machine Library" to select your
machine specifications Excel file. Wait for confirmation that the file has been
loaded.
2. Set Your Preferences:
a. Manufacturer: Select from the list or choose USER_INPUT for custom
entries.
b. Selection Criteria: For DX, choose T1 or T3; for Chilled Water, choose
Delta_T values.
c. On-Coil Temperature: Select the return air temperature.
d. Manufacturer: Select from the list or choose USER_INPUT for custom
entries.

3. Select Data File: Click on "Select Excel File" to pick your building/system data
file.
4. Start the Selection: Hit "Start Selection Process" to let the tool match your
data with the machine specifications based on your criteria.
5. Review Results: After processing, you'll be prompted to save an Excel file
with the results. This file will show which machines match your needs, how
many are required, and performance metrics.
