the correct answer to each of the following questions.
1.
Victoria Falls in Zambia is famous for its kilometre-long natural waterfall that stuns tourists as water plunges
354 feet, generating mass clouds of white mist. Although Victoria Falls is a popular tourist attraction, the
fall’s showstopping views are slowly reducing into stretches of dry rock with spouts of low water flow –
which has left some visitors slightly disappointed.
While in the dry season the water levels usually slow down, experts have
said that there’s been an unprecedented decline in water levels in the
past few years caused by rising temperatures in the region. This not only
affects the falls, but also the health of its ecosystem and the local
economy.
Our planet is home to so many natural wonders that make earth the
beautiful and diverse planet it is. However, the impact of the climate
crisis and the population’s growing carbon footprint means visiting
these places may not be possible for much longer.
Offsetting your carbon emissions is just one way you can reduce your impact and do your bit to save our
precious planet.

The Amazon Rainforest
The Amazon Rainforest is the biggest tropical rainforest in the world. It covers about 40 percent of South
America. This rainforest is very important because it has many kinds of plants and animals. People call it "the
lungs of the earth" because it helps produce the oxygen we breathe.
Even though the rainforest is helpful to us, humans have already cut
down about 12 percent of the trees. This has changed the weather and
the amount of rain in the area, which also affects the animals, plants,
and even people who live there.
If we don’t do something to stop this, scientists say that 30 to 60
percent of the Amazon Rainforest could turn into a dry area with few

The Birth of Seven Natural Wonders Seven Natural Wonders was created to celebrate and protect the original
7 Natural Wonders of the World. It’s very important that these wonders are recognized because they are
special, not because of money or business. A "Wonder" should be amazing on its own because of how
different and important it is. The people who started Seven Natural Wonders knew that our world has many
amazing places that could be called natural wonders. To recognize this, they started a project to find the top
7 natural wonders on each continent. These new wonders would be added to the original 7 Natural Wonders
of the World. Their goal was to name the 7 Natural Wonders of Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South
America, and Oceania, which would add 49 new wonders to the list. They chose these places because they
are very special and important. The group allowed the public to vote on the wonders, but each person could
only vote one time. No one had to pay money or sponsor anything to vote. Experts from UNESCO and other
groups, along with scientists and people who work in tourism, also helped to choose the wonders. They made
sure to focus on how special each place was without any personal opinions. The public vote was important
for two reasons. First, it was to see if people’s choices were different from the experts’ choices. Second, the
public vote could help decide if there was a tie for the 7th and 8th spots. Luckily, the public and experts agreed
on the choices, so no tie-breaking was needed.
