STEM Education Project Proposal
For Schools in Delhi NCR (Targeting Low-Income Communities)
Implemented by: Abhinandan Educational & Welfare Society
Project Duration: 3 Years
Total Schools: 15 (5 schools onboarded each year)
1. Background & Rationale
A significant number of schools in Delhi NCR serving children from
economically weaker backgrounds still rely on textbook-based learning,
especially in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
Students often lack opportunities for hands-on experimentation, innovation,
and real-world problem-solving. This affects their curiosity, confidence,
academic performance, and future career readiness.
Abhinandan Educational & Welfare Society aims to bridge this gap by
introducing a structured, practical, and engaging STEM education program
across low-income schools in Delhi NCR. The STEM Project will ensure that
students learn by doing—through experiments, simple robotics, model-
building, coding, and critical thinking activities.
2. Project Goal
To strengthen STEM education in low-income community schools across Delhi
NCR by establishing hands-on STEM learning environments in 15 schools
over three years.
3. Project Objectives
1. To onboard five new low-income community schools each year,
reaching a total of fifteen schools over three years.
2. To establish or upgrade a fully functional STEM Lab in every partner
school to support hands-on learning.
3. To provide age-appropriate STEM kits and practical learning materials
to enhance science, technology, engineering, and mathematics
education.
4. To build the capacity of teachers through structured training,
mentoring, and continuous support for effective STEM facilitation.
5. To conduct regular student-centered STEM activities that promote
curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and real-world application of
concepts.
6. To monitor and evaluate the progress of students and teachers
through periodic assessments, ensuring measurable improvement in
STEM learning outcomes.
4. Target Group
Students from Grades 3–8 studying in low-income schools in Delhi NCR
School teachers who will be trained as STEM facilitators
5. Key Components of the Program
