Case Study
History of Napier Museum
Indo-Saracenic structure Built in 1857. Presently, 150 years old. In 1874, named after the Maharaja of Travancore.
Architect and Influences
Designed & overseen by a British architect, Chisholm. Chinese, Mughal, Kerala & Italian influences. Unique architectural style - gothic roof; minarets. Yellow scalloped arches, frieze & lattice work, beautiful carved balconies.
HVAC
Natural A.C. Lush observatory gardens, in the style of Chinese & Mughal & Kerala's tradition. Blue, pink, yellow, red & white used in roofs & minarets.
