INTRODUCTION
• Online voting system is an online voting platform.
• People who have citizenship of a particular country
and eligible for voting can cast their vote through
online systems.
• This system is based on procedures of other online
services like online reservation system.
• Online system works upon databases and an online
web application which can resolve duplication and
fake votes.

EXISTING SYSTEM
• Existing system consist of methods like paper
based voting , lever voting machine , punch card
and optical voting machine.
• Drawback of the existing system is time
consuming , chance of fake voting and
malpractices.
• In present condition , people have to go and wait
for a long time in front of polling booths.
• There is a high chance of fake votes , duplication
and malpractices in existing system.

COMPARITIVE STUDY
• Online voting system resolves the problem of existing
systems of elections.
• Existing system requires presence of every
individual in physical polling locations , which may
not be practical for many people . In such situations
people can make use of online system .
• People from foreign countries faces many difficulties
in casting postal votes . Online system can minimize
the risk of casting postal votes.

IDEA AND ADVANTAGES
• Our project aims at providing an online platform for
voting .
• Citizens who wants to cast their vote through online
portal have to complete registration and eligibility
criteria manually before election .
• Online voting system is followed by strict verification
process of ‘aadhar’ , identity and biometric
identification.
• System works under a database of registered users
which helps in avoiding the chances of malpractices.

ADVANTAGES :-
• Online voting platform can provide easier and
secure voting facility to vote in situations where
people face risk to arrive at physical polling
locations.
• People from abroad can poll their vote
effectively in online platform and hence risk of
postal votes are avoided.
• Digital votes hence reduce the chance of fake
votes and duplication.

EXPECTED OUTCOME
• Our expected outcome is an online portal
where citizens of a particular nationality can
login and poll their votes.
• People from different physical locations can
poll their votes only after strict verification and
registration purposes.
• More secure and digitalized voting system
where physical location , fake votes and
malpractices are not bothered.
