What is Psychrometry?
It is the science of studying air-vapor mixture

We know that air can hold only certain amount of water vapor at a given
temperature

Low temperature = Low levels of water vapor


High temperature = Low/High levels of water vapor

However, we are only comfortable in only certain permutations –combinations of


air temperature & humidity

CAN BE USED TO EXPRESS HUMAN THERMAL COMFORT, DESIGN

DRY-BULB TEMPERATURE (DBT)

It is the air temperature ordinarily measured with a thermometer

It is used to infer the amount of water moisture in the air

Represented by the diagonal lines on the chart

Ratio of water vapor compared to the maximum amount air can hold
