• AN UNSTRUCTURED INTERVIEW CAN PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT A CANDIDATE’S PERSONALITY, EXPRESSIVENESS


AND VERBAL ABILITY.

• THIS KIND OF INTERVIEW HAS A FRIENDLY APPROACH TO IT.


• UNSTRUCTURED INTERVIEWS ARE LIKE A FREE FLOW CONVERSATION WHICH IS VERY INFORMAL AND OPEN TO
DISCUSS.

• GOOD USE OF UNSTRUCTURED INTERVIEW DEPENDS ON THE INTERVIEWER.


• ASKING OPEN-ENDED QUESTIONS.

• IT IS VERY FLEXIBLE AND MORE COMFORTABLE.


• BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE CANDIDATE THAN IN A STRUCTURED INTERVIEW.
• IT BREAKS THE COMMUNICATION GAP BETWEEN THE INTERVIEWER AND CANDIDATE.
DISADVANTAGES OF UNSTRUCTURED INTERVIEW

• TIME CONSUMING.
• THERE ARE CHANCES TO GET DIVERTED FROM THE ENTIRE INTERVIEW.
• NOT SUITABLE FOR CERTAIN CANDIDATES.
