Moodle is a free software e-learning platform (also
known as a Course Management System (CMS), or
Learning Management System (LMS), or Virtual
Learning Environment (VLE)).

a WebCT administrator at Curtin University, Australia.

• Create, deliver and manage web-based content for
courses.
• Add online elements to traditional courses (to
supplement current in-class instruction).
• Facilitate and deliver completely online courses
asynchronously or with limited face-to-face interaction.

• Communicate, real-time and/or asynchronous
collaboration and communication tools
• Assess integrated quizzes and grade books
• Manage course/content: upload course
materials (audio, video, documents like .doc,
