Paint Industry

The paint industry in India is dominated by decorative paints which account for 90% of the total volume. The top three players in the industry are Asian Paints, Berger Paints, and Kansai Nerolac. While Asian Paints leads the decorative paints segment, it has an opportunity to expand further in industrial paints where it currently only has 14% market share. Competition from other foreign and domestic players entering the market poses a threat to the top companies.
