The Solution Design and Assumptions
1. Each site deploys Indoor APs and PoE switches according to the WLAN Planning.
2. The AP is powered by the nearby POE switch.
3. Link from Aggregation Switches to Core Switch will be through fiber
4. The APs are mounted at the roof of this building. The height of 3m-5m is recommend.
5. The ERIP limitation : 2.4G 20dBm, 5G 20dBm
6. The AP can be managed by cloudcampus platform and can be integrated into existing AD infrastructure
7. The customer site already has the existing router and firewall ,so no new router and firewall will be included in
the project

The Wi-Fi Network Architecture Design Principle
Customer Existing Network • The Access Point will be centralized controlled by WAC.
• The NCE-campus can also manage and monitor Huawei network
device.
• The NCE-campus is also a platform for unified authentication and
Core Network policy delivery.(NAC)
• A pair of core switch will be the convergence point for the access
switch through fiber connection.
• A pair of firewall will be deployed for the network security.(Not
Router included in this project)
NCE-campus • A pair of Router will be the export for WAN or Internet connection. .

Reliability Design
VRRP Hot-Standby:
HSB + VRRP : AC1 and AC2 form a VRRP HSB group. AC1 is
the master and AC2 is the backup, AC1 transmits session
information to AC2 through the HSB channel
When AC1 fails, AC2 starts to process session services, without
interrupting the current service
As shown in the following pictures, an AP obtains only the virtual IP
address of both the active and standby ACs. The active AC backs up
information including AP entries, CAPWAP link information, and
user information on the standby AC. In this mode, the AP only detects
the presence of one AC. The active/standby switchover is determined
by the Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP).

AC
Local forwarding (Recommended ) Centralized forwarding
The deployment is simple and the AC load is low All traffic passes through the AC, so the AC can enforce security
Advantage
because data traffic does not pass through the AC. policies in a centralized manner according to service requirements.
The AC must endure heavy load in the centralized forwarding
Disadvantage -
mode.
