BIBLICAL

FAITH
HABAKKUK 2:4
HABAKKUK 2:4
Behold, his soul which
is lifted up is not upright
in him: but the just shall
live by his faith.
HABAKKUK 1:13
Thou art of purer eyes than to behold
evil, and canst not look on iniquity:
wherefore lookest thou upon them that
deal treacherously, and holdest thy
tongue when the wicked devoureth the
man that is more righteous than he?
BIBLICAL FAITH
1. HOW DO WE IDENTIFY TRUE
FROM COUNTERFEIT FAITH?
2. WHAT DOES THE BIBLE TEACH
ABOUT FAITH RECOGNIZED BY
GOD?
3. HOW TO LIVE BY FAITH?
LIFE OF THE FAITHFUL
(Hebrews 10:38) Now the just shall
live by faith: but if any man draw back,
my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
(39) But we are not of them who draw
back unto perdition; but of them that
believe to the saving of the soul.
FAITH PLEASES GOD
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to
please him: for he that cometh to
God must believe that he is, and that
he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him.
FAITH THAT SAVES
Romans 1:16- For I am not ashamed of the
gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God
unto salvation to every one that believeth;
to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
(17) For therein is the righteousness of
God revealed from faith to faith: as it is
written. The just shall live by faith.
HEARING EMANATES FAITH
(Romans 10:16) But they have not
all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah
saith, Lord, who hath believed our
report?
(17) So then faith come by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God.
FAMILY OF THE FAITHFUL
(Gal 3:9) So then they which be of faith are blessed
with faithful Abraham.
(10) For as many as are of the works of the law are
under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one
that continueth not in all things which are written in
the book of the law to do them.
(11) But that no man is justified by the law in the
sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by
faith.
BLESSEDNESS OF THE FAITHFUL
(Galatians 3:12) And the law is not of faith: but, The
man that doeth them shall live in them.
(13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the
law, being made a curse for us: for it is written,
Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
(14) That the blessing of Abraham might come on the
Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive
the promise of the Spirit through faith.
LITTLE FAITH
(Mat 6:30) Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field,
which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he
not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
(31) Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or,
What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(32) (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your
heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
(33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
LITTLE FAITH
“LITTLE FAITH” IS A
DECISION TO PUT LESS
IMPORTANCE TO THE
KINGDOM AND
LITTLE FAITH
Matthew 8:25- And his disciples came to
him and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us:
we perish.
(26) And he saith unto them, Why are ye
fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose,
and rebuked the winds and the sea; and
there was a great calm.
LITTLE FAITH
“LITTLE FAITH” MEANS
INSTEAD OF GIVING ALL
TRUST, ONE WILLFULLY GAVE
A SMALL PORTION OF TRUST
TO GOD. FRC
LITTLE FAITH
(Matthew 14:30) But when he saw the wind
boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to
sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
(31) And immediately Jesus stretched forth
his hand, and caught him, and said unto him,
O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou
doubt?
LITTLE FAITH
(Matthew 16:6) Then Jesus said unto them, Take
heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees
and of the Sadducees.
(7) And they reasoned among themselves, saying,
It is because we have taken no bread.
(8) Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto
them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among
yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
GREAT FAITH
Matthew 8:10
When Jesus heard it, he marveled,
and said to them that followed,
Verily I say unto you, I have not
found so great faith, no, not in
Israel.
GREAT FAITH
Matthew 15:28
Then Jesus answered and said unto
her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it
unto thee even as thou wilt. And her
daughter was made whole from that
very hour.
VISIBLE FAITH
Matthew 9:2
And, behold, they brought to him a
man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed:
and Jesus seeing their faith said unto
the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good
cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
SAVING/HEALING FAITH
Matthew 9:22
But Jesus turned him about, and
when he saw her, he said, Daughter,
be of good comfort; thy faith hath
made thee whole. And the woman
was made whole from that hour.
ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH
Matthew 9:29
Then touched he their
eyes, saying, According to
your faith be it unto you.
MUSTARD SEED FAITH
Matthew 17:20
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your
unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye
have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye
shall say unto this mountain, Remove
hence to yonder place; and it shall remove;
and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
FAITH VS DOUBT
Matthew 21:21
Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily
I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt
not, ye shall not only do this which is done
to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto
this mountain, Be thou removed, and be
thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
