Dedicated Bearer Activation
The purpose of activating a dedicated bearer is to
set up a bearer with special QoS and traffic flow
template (TFT) between the UE and the EPC to meet
the requirements of a service (such as the video,
voice, etc.).
Activation of a dedicated bearer is performed by the
network side, specially with the PCRF.
