INTRODUCTION
Robots play a very important role in human life. Robots are a machine which reduces the
human efforts in heavy works in industries, building etc. and makes life easy. We are
here with our next robot that is Mobile or DTMF Controlled Robot. DTMF controlled
Robot runs over mobile DTMF technology that exists in Dial tone. DTMF stands for Dual
Tone Multiple Frequency. There are some frequencies that we use to create DTMF tone.
In simple words by adding or mixing two or more frequencies generates DTMF tone.

INTRODUCTION (CONT.)
What is DTMF?
DTMF is a Dual Tone Multiple Frequency decoder module which has a MT8870 DTMF
decoder IC which decodes DTMF tone signal to digital signal that are acceptable for
Arduino digitally. Here an aux wire is needed for connecting DTMF module to phone.

OBJECTIVES
1. To overcome the problem of NLOS and range problem approach
using mobile technology.
2. Control the robot movement being anywhere in the world.
3. To establish exchange of data wirelessly in a range of distance
by providing a necessary platform to create convenience and
controllability.
4. To implement wireless communication which is more convenient
to use than wire communication while operating the system and
make us easier to use them.
5. To implement A low-cost solution system which can be easily
deployed by wireless mode of communication.

LITERATURE SURVEY
Many papers have referred for this project. The paper title "DTMF-Based Voice
Controlled Robotic Vehicle": The authors of this paper present a DTMF-based voice-
controlled robotic vehicle. They discuss the integration of voice recognition and DTMF
decoding techniques to enable controlling the robot using voice commands converted
to DTMF signals. “DTMF Controlled Robot with High-Resolution Control System": This
paper introduces a DTMF controlled robot with a high-resolution control system. The
authors describe the design and implementation of the control system, which allows
precise control of the robot's movements using DTMF signals. These papers explore
various aspects of DTMF-controlled robots, including system design, hardware
implementation, signal decoding techniques, and practical demonstrations of remote
control capabilities. They provide insights into the development and potential
applications of DTMF-based control systems for robots.

METHODOLOGY
DTMF controlled robotic vehicle run by some commands that are send via
mobile phone. We are here using DTMF function of mobile phone. Here we have
used the mobile phone to show working of project. One is user mobile phone
that we will call ‘remote phone’ and second one that are connected with Robot’s
circuit using aux wire. This mobile phone we will call ‘Receiver Phone’.
Step 1: First, we make a call by using remote phone to receiver phone and then
attend the call by manually or automatic answer mode. Now here is how this
DTMF controlled robot is controlled by cell phone.
Step 2: When we presses ‘2’, robot start to moving forward and moving
continues forward until next command comes, When we presses ‘8’, robot start
moving in backward, When we press ‘4’, Robot get turn left, When we press ‘6’,
robot turned to right, and for stopping robot we pass‘5’.

APPLICATIONS
1. This type of wireless communication (GSM) gives the security of robots
when the owner is not present.
2. Operating robot from a remote place anywhere in the world with any
telecommunication device having DTFM technology.
3. Remote control vehicles have various scientific uses including hazardous environments,
working in the deep ocean , and space exploration. The majority of the probes to the other
planets in our solar system have been remote control vehicles, although some of the more
recent ones were partially autonomous. The sophistication of these devices has fueled
greater debate on the need for manned spaceflight and exploration.
4. Military usage of remotely controlled military vehicles dates back to the first half of 20th
century. Soviet Red Army used remotely controlled Teletanks during 1930s in the Winter
War and early stage of World War II.

ADVANTAGES
1. user can control this robot from far and it also provides better motion
and direction of the robot
2. DTMF’s technology is simple, low cost, as well as its already popular status in the
telephone industry of today.
3. In the networks there are large number of nodes that are very simple and act merely as
relay stations. In healthcare (hospital and home environments), a robot that is capable of
sending acoustic commands to turn on/off devices such as light switch or closing door
while letting the user know that the process is taking place will be very helpful in allowing
the user to feel more comfortable around robots
DISADVANTAGES
1. As signal strength decreases the performance of the system also degrades.
