Changes of states or processes of one state of matter changing to another.
Melting evaporation, boiling condensation, and freezing are all examples of
states changing.
Melting is when a solid changes to a liquid. Evaporation is when a liquid
changes to a gas boiling is when a liquid changes to a gas at the matters
boiling point. For example, the boiling of water takes place at 100 degrees
Celsius. Condensation is when a gas changes to a liquid while freezing is
when a liquid changes to a solid.
We could see the condensation of water on windows early in the morning
and the freezing of water in our fridges.
Melting Evaporation
Condensation Freezing
Example: a
- Picture a shows drops of water forming on leaves.
- It happens when warm air touches something cold.
- You can see little water beads appearing.
- It usually happens in the morning.
a. The Sun / heats / in lakes / water / and
turns / into / water vapor. / or oceans / it
=> The Sun heats water in lakes or oceans
and turns it into water vapor.
b. This / evaporation. / process / is
=> This process is evaporation.
c. Then, / happens / in the atmosphere. /
condensation
=> Then, condensation happens in the
atmosphere.
d. Water vapor / at / low temperatures /
cools down / and becomes / in clouds. /
tiny droplets
=> Water vapor cools down at low
temperatures and becomes tiny droplets
in clouds.

RULES:
- The teacher divides the class into 2
teams.
- Each team will choose a block. If they
answer the question correctly, they can
break the block and see the things
behind them.
