It is Alive in the Lab

Project Draw 0.7 is available now at http://draw.labs.autodesk.com. The new features include:

• Multi-select shape operations have been optimized
• Expanded color palette
• Offline-support using Google Gears

If you use Project Draw in OFFLINE mode, please note that the online->offline synch takes a while (typically a few minutes, but it can take longer). The synch time varies by the operating system you use, your browser (IE 7.0 seems to be faster for me), and of course, how far away you are from the server, as well as the database (Google Gears installs SQLite on your machine – this is a very small database that is very fast on Linux distros like Ubuntu, but not so fast on Windows). Some of the synch time is the overhead of Gears, and the Gears team is working on making their synchronization functions more efficient. Of course, we’ll keep optimizing the Project Draw code improve performance as we go forward.
