Cameron Laird's personal notes on Python training
At of November 2005, I like to think that the
pertinent
Python Wiki page will maintain better than I can the
information notionally on this page. I've retained, for now,
the most recent version of what I had, though:
Until a neutral and more obvious "community" site, such as
www.python.org,
indexes known Python
trainers, I'll maintain this page.
I welcome updates,
comments, and so on, of course.
Among the trainers I have encountered are:
- Author and full-time trainer
Mark Lutz.
- Author
and university lecturer
Wesley Chun
offers corporate training through his
cyberweb.consulting
Silicon Valley-based consultancy.
- Staffers at ActiveState
Corporation, although I haven't yet figured out if they
have a definite training schedule, apart from the one
David
Ascher promotes under his own name.
- Gary Herron of Island Training Solutions.
- Steve Holden of Holden
Web LLC/Ltd offers "one-day 'Python for Programmers' seminars
and tailored training for small groups", mostly in the UK.
- Secret
Labs
trains
in association with Klosterdata, mainly for the Scandinavian
market. Interested parties should contact
Klosterdata directly.
- Bruce Eckel
occasionally presents Python, although sometimes he goes for
long intervals teaching only other subjects.
- Sean Reifschneider
works through his
tummy.com, ltd.
- Occasionally I
introduce a Users Group to Python. While in principle I'd happily
go into greater depth, my calendar is usually booked with
other commitments.
- Nicolas Chauvat of LOGILAB
trains well, with a concentration in France.
- Mats Wichmann trains ...
- Dave Kuhlman
- Marc Balmer, a Lecturer at
Basel University who teaches quite a bit of Python
- Lotfi Ben Othmane
taught Python at
Western Michigan in
spring
2009.
- [conferences, ...]
Information on particular classes is often available
at the www.python.org
Events page.
