Students reflect on “degree-defining” experiences
From aquatic adventures and mountaintop stargazing to lab work aimed at saving lives, the Degree-Defining Experiences Program in the Science Division engaged more than 2,300 UCSC undergraduate students in experiential learning opportunities last fall and winter.
Giving Day raises nearly $2 million
On the 10th anniversary of Giving Day, the UC Santa Cruz community shattered records for total dollars raised and number of contributing donors. Over 8,000 donors raised nearly $2 million during Giving Day 2025. The Slug Rugby and Formula Slug teams also broke campus records this year for fundraising by individual projects.
