Over the last few days, we analyzed the Hayli Gubbi volcanic SO₂ eruption. The first map shows the plume progressing from Ethiopia → Pakistan → India → China, using a fusion of Sentinel-5P SO₂, ERA5 wind fields, and FlightRadar aircraft tracks. The sequence highlights how upper-level winds steered the plume directly across busy regional air corridors. The second visual shows the SO₂ levels detected over major cities along the plume’s path (magenta line), providing a quick overview of where the strongest concentrations appeared during the event window.
