Action Bar menu on main screen sometimes invisible

Reappears once the Lists tab is selected.

Another report: when returning from upcoming/recent via up to the home screen, it is also missing.

    Setting the current nav item is now delayed (second solution of comment #8 in the issue above). I can't reproduce it on my tablet now.
