🔌 Wallonia’s electricity distribution tariffs are changing in 2026 A new pricing option, the Tariff Impact, will be available for digital-meter users, alongside the updated single and dual-rate systems. What does this mean for consumers? ⚡ Smarter consumption = lower bills With the new tariff structure, prices will vary depending on the time of day. Shifting flexible consumption (EV charging, heat pumps, washing machines…) to off-peak or ECO hours can significantly reduce costs. 📉 Potential savings The regulator estimates that flexible households could reduce energy costs by: Up to €100/year for a typical family Up to €300/year for EV owners ☀️ Prosumers The compensation mechanism stays in place until 2030. Depending on your profile, dual-rate or the new Impact Tariff may become more advantageous. 🧠 What to do next? Plan flexible consumption, use delayed-start functions, and consider requesting a digital meter if you want access to the Tariff Impact.

⚡Turning smart meter data into smart billing. The transition to smart electricity meters is accelerating, bringing new regulatory, operational, and data management challenges for energy suppliers. To comply with upcoming legal requirements for remote reading and invoicing, one major energy operator collaborated with Haulogy to adapt its systems and processes. The challenge? 🔹 Managing high-volume smart meter data, including 15-minute consumption intervals. 🔹 Ensuring that customers’ billing preferences (monthly or annual) are respected. 🔹 Keeping data accuracy and regulatory compliance across every step of the billing process. Our software made this possible : ✅ Seamless integration of smart meter data into the billing workflow. ✅ Intelligent aggregation of monthly and annual billing cycles. ✅ Streamlined data filtering to handle only what’s needed, improving performance and clarity. The result: a fully compliant, efficient, and customer-centric billing process that supports the region’s transition toward smart energy management. Because ultimately, smart meters only create value when their data improves the customer experience.

💡 E-invoicing is accelerating across Europe, are you ready ? Several countries have already announced their rollout timelines for mandatory B2B e-invoicing. Some will start gradually over the next few years, others later, but the transition is clearly underway everywhere. ➡️ In Belgium, the obligation begins January 1, 2026. ➡️ In France, the mandate is planned for mid-2026. Even if some deadlines may feel distant, the preparation required, especially for companies operating in multiple countries, can quickly become complex. We’ve prepared for this shift. Ultimately, your total energy cost comes from three main components: 1️⃣ Energy price : based on your actual consumption and supplier’s pricing. 2️⃣ Network tariffs : for distribution and transmission costs. 3️⃣ Taxes and levies : determined by regional and federal authorities. As the energy transition accelerates, new dynamics such as flexible pricing, green taxes, and prosumer models make billing even more complex and more important than ever to get right.
