Company recognized for the fifth year 

TEMPLE, Texas — McLane Company, Inc., one of the largest distributors in America and an industry-leading partner to the biggest retail and restaurant brands, announced that it has earned the 2025 Military Friendly® Employer designation, marking its fifth year recognized. 

The annual Military Friendly® Employer program, presented by VIQTORY, honors companies that deliver meaningful support to veterans and their families. McLane earned Silver in 2025 for its continued investment in programs that drive veterans’ career growth and development. Warriors to Wheels is a GI Bill–approved program that turns military training into practical, paid experience for a future in transportation. McLane also collaborates with the U.S. Army and Ft. Hood on a nine-week warehouse training experience at its Southwest distribution center in Temple, Texas. New in 2025, the Junior Military Officers Program is a 12-month rotation across McLane Retail for junior officers transitioning to civilian careers. Participants build skills in operations management through mentorship, projects, and engagement with senior leaders.

Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by VIQTORY with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining an organization’s survey score with an assessment of the organization’s ability to meet thresholds for recruitment, new hire retention, employee turnover, and promotion and advancement of veterans and military employees.
