1 Boot from CD-ROM or a bootable tape
2 Select option 3: Start Maintiance Mode for System Recovery from installation and Maintiance menu
3 Follow the options to active the rootvg and obtain a shell
4 Once shell is avaiable , execute command passwd to change root's passwords
5 Enter " sync;sync;"
6 Reboot the system
