【#UFI100 Highlights｜#UFICongressDinner – A Night of Hong Kong Culture】 On the evening of the 92nd #UFIGlobalCongress, exhibition industry leaders from around the world transitioned from the daytime sessions at #AsiaWorldExpo to M+ for the UFI Congress Dinner. As curator of the delegate experience, AsiaWorld-Expo crafted a Hong Kong–themed cultural journey to offer overseas guests an authentic taste of the city – far beyond the conference halls! The dinner, themed “Hong Kong Culture”, showcased artistically designed neon installations, immersive art and music, and a captivating performance by Hong Kong Dance Company, featuring highlights from the new dance drama “WUDAO” (《武道》). Inspired by Bruce Lee, a global icon known to all, the piece fused martial arts elements with contemporary choreography to embody Hong Kong’s distinct cultural spirit. Throughout the evening, delegates enjoyed a series of curated “Hong Kong moments”, from local flavours and nostalgic aesthetics to interactive arts and entertainment, transforming the dinner into a memorable, multi-sensory experience for guests from all corners of the world. The 92nd UFI Global Congress officially opened on 20 Nov at #AsiaWorldExpo, marking a truly special moment as we celebrate both UFI’s 100th anniversary and AsiaWorld-Expo’s 20th anniversary. This year, more than 600 top-level executives from over 50 countries and regions have gathered in Hong Kong to exchange insights, explore innovation, and unlock new opportunities for collaboration across the global exhibitions industry. The energy on-site is nothing short of inspiring. The Opening Ceremony was graced by an exceptional line-up of officiating guests, including: The Honourable Paul CHAN Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Mr Fred Lam, GBS, JP, Chairman, Airport Authority Hong Kong; Dr Peter Lam, GBM, GBS, Chairman, Hong Kong Tourism Board; Mr Hugh Jones, President, UFI; Mr Chris Skeith, OBE, CEO, UFI; Mr Simon Li, SBS, Chairman, AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited; and Ms Irene Chan, CEO, AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited. Together, they officiated the launch of this landmark global event, setting an exciting tone for the days ahead. This landmark tournament also marked a major milestone for the city: BLAST Premier Rivals was the first #esports event to receive the prestigious “M” Mark designation from the Major Sports Events Committee under the HKSAR Government — an honour reserved for major sporting events that enhance Hong Kong’s international reputation as a premier destination for sports and entertainment.
