At the UNIDO 21st General Conference in Saudi Arabia, ROBOTERA formalized a strategic collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) — a milestone that brings embodied intelligence and humanoid robotics closer to global sustainable development goals. Through this partnership, both sides will work together to advance embodied-AI solutions and humanoid robots in real industrial and societal scenarios, deepen cooperation across major international platforms to accelerate cross-border projects, and strengthen ecosystem-building efforts through initiatives such as the Beijing Digital Economy Centre of Excellence. This integrated approach is designed to connect global innovation resources, support technology adoption at scale, and create an open, collaborative environment for the future of humanoid robotics. The collaboration reflects a shared vision: using technology to promote inclusive and sustainable industrial development. Over the past month, I’ve been building something that brings together many threads from my past work - from dexterous manipulation to VR teleoperation. I’m excited to share LeFranX, an open-source extension of the #LeRobot framework for the Franka Robotics and ROBOT ERA XHand. LeFranX is designed to help the community explore and reproduce robot learning workflows on these popular platforms more easily. It's got: 🎮 High-performance VR-based teleoperation 🤖 Native data collection and policy training with LeRobot 🤗 Seamless dataset integration with Hugging Face 📊 Open-source datasets for curated dexterous tasks This project also marks the conclusion of my MS in Robotics at Northwestern University. I’m deeply grateful to have been advised by Professor Matthew Elwin and to have worked alongside so many talented cohort mates this year. As I return to Johnson & Johnson MedTech, I look forward to carrying this blend of research and industry experience into my work.
