Co-packaged optics (CPO) adoption nears its inflection point for AI-scale networks. In Marvell’s latest deep dive on Co-packed optics(CPO),their team outlines a projected 2028 inflection point as hyperscalers begin evaluating high-radix, high-bandwidth switch architectures.   One part we found especially relevant: the discussion around fiber management at scale. As Marvell notes, a 100T-class system could require nearly 1,000 fibers, making precision connectivity and mechanical reliability critical elements of CPO system design.   In the accompanying interview, Marvell’s Chris McCormick underscores this point: “The connectors are a really important aspect of the design.” This is exactly the challenge SENKO’s Emerging Technologies Group (ETG) is working to solve: - high-density optical interconnects - robust and detachable  fiber-to-the-chip attach - repeatable alignment for manufacturability - new connector architectures for next-gen CPO systems   If you’re tracking the evolution of AI hardware, this is a worthwhile read on Marvell Technology’s blog "Co-packaged Optics: Powering the Next Wave of AI Data Center Innovation" https://lnkd.in/dkGYWegZ   SENKO We Value Every Connection #CPO #AIInfrastructure #SNMT #VSFF #FiberToTheChip #Marvell #SiliconPhotonics #EcosystemPartners #ETG #Connectivity #AIHardware

  • 🌱 Restoring San Francisco Bay One Plant at a Time Earlier this month, employees from Marvell partnered with Save The Bay at Palo Alto Baylands for a hands‑on volunteer day. Guided by project leaders from the nonprofit, the team planted 837 native plants across two restoration sites, strengthening the Bay’s resilience to climate change and sea‑level rise while fostering teamwork and community spirit. This effort built on momentum from May, when volunteers transported 750 native plants and removed 120 pounds of invasive species at the same site. Returning to see the growth and progress highlighted the tangible difference Marvell teams are making over time. Save The Bay became an official non-profit partner with the company earlier this year, opening new opportunities for employees to engage in environmental stewardship. These volunteer days support critical restoration work and contribute to a climate‑resilient future for Bay Area residents.
