The new facilities significantly strengthen local R&D, integrating software, hardware, and whole-vehicle validation under one roof. This enables: + Faster decision-making + Closer customer alignment + Accelerated rollout of next-generation technologies Volkswagen Group continues to expand Hefei’s capabilities: The Functions Integration Test (FIT) Laboratory will come online in mid-2026 — one of only two in the Group — to simulate extreme environmental conditions. These efforts establish a future-ready foundation for Volkswagen’s next chapter in intelligent and connected mobility. 👉 Hear directly from Oliver Blume, our Volkswagen Group CEO and Ralf Brandstätter, CEO of Volkswagen Group China in the asset below — their quotes provide exclusive insights into this milestone!

At COP30 Brazil in Belém, our focus is clear: to drive the implementation of our regenerate+ sustainability strategy. Representing us on this global stage is Dirk Voeste, Chief Sustainability Officer at Volkswagen Group. 🗨️ During a fireside chat with Nina Mikander and Gavin Edwards, they discussed the outcomes of the Nature Positive Initiative (NPI) pilots and the importance of measuring the state of nature. Why? Because climate change and biodiversity loss demand urgent action. 🤝 Our commitment: To make nature-related management practical and impactful. By participating in the NPI pilot, we aim to develop credible, science-based standards that can be implemented in real-world business operations, not just on paper. Practicability is the bridge between ambition and action. Only then can strategies deliver tangible results for nature and society. #ClimateAction #COP30 #RegeneratePlus
